Kyle's POV

Driving away from Tweek's coffee shop after hearing Butters calling out my boyfriend right off the bat for losing his virginity was the funniest actions I've seen Tweek get caught up in. I couldn't help myself from bursting out in laughter. Not even a minute ago Tweek was ridiculing me for being paranoid of my mom finding out when in reality Butters could point it out a mile away. I'm glad that Tweek has Butters, he appears to be the best person to have in his corner; besides me of course. I won't be with him for the first couple few classes of the day but its assuring to know there's someone else Tweek can count on. I can also rely on David to keep a close eye on him. He's been doing that since day one and I've been eternally grateful for that.

I parked my car once I spotted my moms signature silver Mercedes Benz. Apparently there's only one other family here that has a higher income than my father so it was a safe bet that this car belonged to no one else besides my mother. I tried my best to compose myself before I stepped one foot out of my car to greet my mom who was patiently waiting for me in front of the main office. I approached her as she was busily tapping her nails against her phone, taking care of who knows what. Even though she doesn't have a standard job outside our house she's always working around the clock running errands to keep our family at its best. Without even looking up from her phone she calmly asked; you ready? I hesitantly responded with a confident 'yes'. Totally surprised with my nonchalant behavior. She put her phone away and reached for the entrance. I quickly followed her and quietly exhaled my breath I had been holding since I replied to her question.

---------------

So far nothing too out of the ordinary had occurred on my behalf. Turns out I was the paranoid one for once. I Mentally smacked myself for Tweek being right, once again. That blonde boy is no dummy. We had talked to the principal and worked out all of the final details about my running start classes and how I would be transported to and from the local community college. I assumed I would be driving myself but my mom was adamant on the school doing that. Her argument was this would save gas money for the family. There was a few other kids who were also planning on taking running start classes and the school was required to accommodate those students who couldn't drive themselves. In the end we worked out that I would drive my car to the school in the morning with Ike and the school vehicle would pick me up before the first bell of the day. The same thing would happen on scheduled late start days except I wouldn't have to drive Ike to be at school earlier than needed. I found this fair and agreed that having my car stay at the school would help save on gas money. The coach wasn't available yet and I was told I'd meet him when I showed up at practice, unannounced to everyone else. That will be fun. The principal had other work that needed to be done and excused himself. My mom was still filing out all of the proper paperwork and broke the comfortable silence that I was getting used to.

"Just promise me you'll stay away from those hoodlum boys; Eric, Stan, and Kenny. This year is much too important for you to be caught in any rebellious actions." I mentally cringed for being scolded on who I can or can't hang out with. This has been going on for years and I thought by now my mom would trust my better judgement on people. So far I had batted a thousand with picking friends from South Park. I could tell the office secretary was low key judging my mom on her self righteous attitude and looked at me with pity.

"That won't be too difficult, I have no idea who Stan and Eric are." She sighed with a sign of relief but Kenny was a totally different story. "However, I know for sure that Kenny actively participates in the same sports I plan on doing. I can't want to come off as rude and ignore him completely. He also dates Tweek's best friend Butters. He's a big turnaround since his grade school days and Tweek has vouched on Kenny's behalf." My mom looked skeptical about every word that came out of my mouth and looked at the office secretary for assurance. She made it very clear that Kenny was a pleasant student and hasn't caused any problems since he's come from the elementary school. "Plus how realistic is it to stay completely clear from a few guys when our graduating class is under fifty kids. We'll most likely share a bunch of the core classes and from what I can tell this school is just one long hallway." All of the paper work was filled out and we were free to leave. She guided me out of the office, clearly wanting to finish this conversation in private.

"Well I suppose that request is a bit much. Tweek must see some good qualities in Kenny so he can't be that bad." Once again the same old tune. All I had to do was mention Tweek and my mom would be on board with anything. In her eyes Tweek could do no wrong. "Do you want me to walk you to football practice? The tour of the school put us behind schedule and practice started twenty minutes ago." Hmmm let me think about that.

"No that's ok. I all ready know where the field is at. I'll just grab my bag and you can head on home. You don't have anything to worry about." She skeptically looked at me, I was afraid she was going to insist on escorting me. I kissed her cheek and motioned her to her car. "Really, I'll be fine. I'll tell you all about practice when I come home for dinner. Ok?" With that being said, she was off and I trudged my way to get my bag and walked to the locker room to change in the appropriate practice attire. The coach must have expected my arrival because on the bench had been laid out extra shoulder pads, leg pads, helmets, and practice jerseys. Looks like I'll have to get used to the white and green look. I stripped off my street clothes and tried on several different pieces until I found the right ones that fitted my body the best. I knew I was running late for practice and didn't want to waste any more time so I sprinted out of the locker room, not slowing down until I got to the field.

The first one to notice me was Kenny who gave a quick nod of his head to acknowledge me quietly. What was interesting was instead of having his eyes on me, he was more fixated at his fellow team mate Craig. Tweek must have all ready told Butters about my new arrival since Kenny didn't seem fazed by me showing up out of the blue. Everyone else had quite the opposite reaction. With Craig's being the most dramatic.

"You lost Broflovski or are you here to be a practice dummy?" Almost everyone else snickered to the childish taunt. The coach was quick to shut that down though.

"Knock it off Tucker, that's not how you greet your newest team mate." Craig's eyes bulged out of his sockets and it appeared like he had been chocking on his own spit since there wasn't a water bottle in sight. The rest of the team was murmuring to each other. Kenny took this as an opportunity to approach me.

"We haven't been properly introduced. My name is Kenny in case you didn't know." He held his fist out and I reciprocated back with my fist colliding with his. "Kyle right?" I simply nodded my head. The coach stood right next to me after patting Kenny on the back for treating me nicely. Kenny took this as a hint and resumed to his group huddle with the rest of the team.

"For those of you who haven't caught on yet, this is Kyle Broflovski. You guys might recognize him from his previous school, Cross Point. Those days are long gone and his allegiance now lies with our school. He just transferred here this morning and we will all welcome him with open arms." He made his point clear by emphasizing the last part to my biggest fan Craig Tucker. Who for the past minute had been scowling like a sour puss. The rest of the team snapped up and came up to me one by one to tell me all of their names. Craig stayed where he was glaring at me and a few other boys who I assumed must have been his closest friends. They gave him a sympathetic look and were reassuring him to not make a big deal out of anything.

Practice resumed and I had felt better with the atmosphere. Craig being upset wasn't a big shocker but that guy seriously needs to get over himself and back off from Tweek. If he stays out of our way that would make me sooo happy.

So this book is slowly coming to an end. I haven't decided if I'm going to beyond homecoming or stretch it out until graduation day. Let me know what you guys would prefer.
