This is for the one person who has re-read this story, patiently waiting for me to update. Hope I don't disappoint.
Tweek's POV
The past few weeks have been stressful. I've been trying to keep tabs on how the guys have been treating Kyle during practice. Each day Butters reports the same thing that Kenny has been saying; everyone enjoys the new asset of the team, with the exception of the 'mean girls' trio. Which is no doubt all Craig's doing. Token is the smartest but Craig is the brains of their operation and has the most pull on everything the group does. I keep thinking one day he'll finally snap out of it and embrace the fact that Kyle's here to stay, (for the rest of the school year that is.) If only he would accept the inevitable and not fight tooth and nail over petty things. Everyone assumes that Craig can't like Kyle because he was the one who broke us up which is totally false. One; I didn't even meet Kyle until winter break. Two; I unhitched my wagon from Craig's group before winter break. Three; both Craig and I established from the beginning that our relationship was nothing but a show for everyone in town who was a part of the 'yaoi' craze. Four; Craig had his chance, years to try and make our fake relationship a real thing, but got all butt hurt when Kyle swooped in and took me off the market. I honestly think he's just jealous of Kyle's success and wants to come off as a victim. I always thought of Clyde as the most superficial but Craig's finally showing his true colors. Long gone are the days of not caring about how he's perceived by everyone.
On a lighter note today is my seventeenth birthday and Kyle has been going on and on about how important this particular birthday is compared to all of my other ones. I've been asking David nonstop about any hints but he's keeping his lips sealed because he's Kyle's best friend and doesn't want to be accused of ruining the surprise. Kyle had many plans for the day which he had to work around my morning work schedule and his afternoon practice.
First on the agenda was a light breakfast that Kyle brought from home. He had made enough crepes for the both of us and also had a small container of fresh cut fruit. He was studying me way too closely as I was eating the crepes. He was worried that I wouldn't like them because his mom was out of town and he had to make them without any help from her. I repeatedly told him over and over again how wonderful they tasted and how appreciative I was for all of the effort he put in. He was quick to say that this was only the beginning and sprinted out to his car.
Hours later he showed up with a Tupperware container of his mom's homemade mac and cheese, which he knows is my favorite dish that she makes. Every now and then when she prepares the dish Kyle always makes sure to save me a small portion since it has better flavor the next day when it's re-heated. I could only assume he asked his mom to make this before she left with his father for their anniversary. For dessert he brought out a large tray of fudge brownies without any edges or corners to them (really chewy ones because I don't like any crunch to mine.) I started to wonder what he did with the border of them but honestly didn't care. My parents didn't seem to mind all of my little breaks that I took during my work shift. My birthday must have been a good enough excuse to be lenient with my lack of job duties that I'm normally working on when the shop is slow. Once everything was eaten Kyle had to leave once again, this time for football practice which he would have loved to skip but didn't want any excuse to appear further behind than he all ready was. He still had to learn all of the current plays for his new team.
Right before my work shift was over my parents gave me my birthday present. I was overjoyed when I unwrapped the box to see a couple Mario Wii games. They smothered me in hugs before I left. Telling me to have a fun time with my friends but not too much fun, whatever that means. Little did they know that I was going back to the house to get a power nap to prepare for whatever else Kyle had planned. Which in the end turned out to be a fantastic idea. No way would I have been able to make it through the latest Pixar movie and cosmic bowling all within the same day. I know I used Pixar as the movie choice in my other story. If it isn't obvious yet I'm a huge Pixar fan. What I hadn't expected was mine and Kyle's friends to tag along with us. It was a pretty decent group consisting of David, Heidi, Kenny and of course Butters. The last time I hung out with such a large group all at once is when I was 'dating' Craig. So far all of the activities were really fun but I didn't notice anything special about them. It wasn't until our drive to the bowling alley that Kyle clued me in on his intentions. He wanted me to embrace all of these group outings that I was obligated to attend with Craig, except this time with the experience of a real boyfriend. In a way it was really sweet but here we are now with cosmic bowling over. It's now the next day and my birthday is technically over so that means the night over, right? Wrong.
"Parents are out of town, you know what that means right?" I played dumb and shook my head slowly. "Last stop, HOUSE PARTY FOR THE BIRTHDAY BOY!" Hearing this made my mouth drop, and I was scared. Kyle dragged me away from cosmic bowling and just announced in his car that we're going to party the rest of the night away at his house. I've made it perfectly clear that I don't enjoy drinking alcohol and large crowds of people. Those conditions normally go hand and hand with a house party. My worst fear was imagining some yahoo spilling the beans about said party to Kyle's mom which could possibly lead to him being pulled from the team. In years past kids have been kicked off the team when they were caught underage drinking because it's against the athletic code.
*********
We pulled up in front of his house with no cars in sight. My best guess was that nobody else had arrived yet because Kyle and I were the first to leave the bowling alley. Plus it would be odd to show up before the host was at his house. Upon entering the house it was very noticeable that his house looked just the same as it always does. No alcohol in sight, no big speaker to blare loud music, and all the furniture had remained in its rightful place. The only obvious addition was an empty 'DAD'S' root beer bottle. Kyle walked right over to it and casually picked it up. He handed it to me and with a sly smirk.
"How about we play spin the bottle, you down?" I burst into laughter, mind you he was wiggling his eyebrows in a suggestive manner. Also in what world do you play this game with two people. I personally had never played spin the bottle but I've watched many movies that portray how it's done. Kyle didn't show any sign he was joking and was patiently waiting for my answer. I slowed down my giggles, shrugged my shoulders and sat down on the floor. Kyle sat right across from me, obviously anticipating the bottle to land on himself. A little making out before other people arrive doesn't sound like a horrible idea.
"We're the only people here, do I really need to spin this thing?" Kyle playfully shook his head and slowly leaned into me with a small smile on his face. In no time his lips were connected to mine which is what I've been waiting for this whole day. With our busy schedules and his packed full agenda of activities for today it was nice to slow things down and take a breather. I had no intentions of going slow though. It felt like ages since I kissed Kyle and I wanted to make the most of it before the mood was killed by people showing up. I made my move by pouncing on Kyle, so I was practically on top of him. I heard a 'mmph' and wasted no time in shoving my tongue into Kyle's mouth. That didn't last long though because I could tell Kyle was trying to convey a message to me. I pulled away with a sour look on my face. Kyle looked amused and opened his mouth, most likely to crack some silly remark to embarrass me.
"I thought we were playing 'spin the bottle', not 'seven minutes in heaven'." I crossed my arms and huffed out aggressively. Kyle always has to have the upper hand, he wastes no time to be a smart aleck. Thanks to Kyle the moment had passed and I wasn't in the mood for his wise guy attitude.
"So when is everyone else going to arrive for this 'house party' that you were so gung-ho about?"
"This is everyone." He motioned around the room as if more people were here. I was truly puzzled. This doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
"I'm confused, what kind of house party has only two people?"
"You haven't caught on yet? No way would I put my house in jeopardy of crazy party shenanigans." He shimmied closer to me and wrapped an arm around my waist with that stupidly adorable grin that makes my heart stop. "Besides those parties are only good for people hooking up and getting wasted. I'd rather hunker down with my smoking hot boyfriend." I immediately pushed him away and blushed furiously. This was his plan all along and I walked right into his trap. He grabbed my chin so I could regain my focus on him once again. "Would you rather continue this in a closet or...." He got really close to my ear and I was shivering just from his breath hitting my neck. "we could go to my room where it's more comfortable." I didn't give my response a second guess.
"Bedroom."
A fluffy chapter for now, next one will be the first day of school. I can't wait to write Tweek and Kyle together as an official South Park couple.
