Tweek's POV

Everything was almost ready for tonight's game. I had been pondering for weeks as to what would be the perfect gift to give Kyle for senior night. This one in particular was pretty special in my eyes. Sure, he had one for both football and basketball, but this was going to be his last home game in his entire high school career. Which in hindsight seems a bit sad, however Kyle was playing it off as not a big deal. Kyle was hiding something from me, I could smell it in the air. He assured me that all will be revealed at the game.

I checked my phone for the time, noticing that Butters' would be arriving any minute to pick me up. All that was left to do was wrap it up, which proved to be more difficult than I anticipated. After a few minutes of struggling I heard the faint sound of my front door opening and closing. Just as I was about to panic about someone entering my house without knocking first, Butters appears in the kitchen with his hands up in surrender.

"Don't worry buddy, it's just me. I come unarmed." Relief with a little bit of annoyance swept through my body. Butters knows how paranoid I can get at times, but that doesn't stop him from poking fun at my insecurities. "Ooh, what you got there?"

"I made this for Kyle, the only problem is I can't figure out how to wrap it up without ruining it in the process." Butters thought for a moment then ran to retrieve some clear cling wrap from one of the kitchen drawers.

"Here, this will make sure that it stays fresh and won't completely stick to it when Kyle wants to eat it." Genius, why didn't I think of that?  It seemed so obvious but I was in too much of a hurry to think logically. I muttered out a low 'thanks' as I wrapped the item. "Uh, I have to ask. Christmas ended months ago, why the peppermint?" Just as I about to explain the reasoning for the odd candy, Butters' phone went off and he answered it in a panic. Saved by the bell, I guess. The story was kind of cheesy, but I'm sure Kyle will find it funny. (By funny, I mean embarrassing.) "Calm down Ken, we're leaving Tweek's right now." With his other hand Butters was motioning for me to hurry up so we could actual leave like he told Kenny we were. I picked up the rest of the decorative details and shoved them into the gift bag. I guess I'll put on the finishing touches while we're in the car. "Yes Kenny, we're actually leaving.... No, I'm not just telling you what you want to hear." I couldn't help but chuckle when Butters displayed a drawn out eye roll while he was talking to his boyfriend. This didn't amuse him though, he was practically pushing me out the door while I was laughing my head off.

The drive was a short one, thankfully, but the parking lot was packed. We had to park a ways away from the school. I didn't realize how close we were cutting on time. The game was about to start, but they had set aside ten minutes for the senior night ceremony, which would be starting any minute. Butters and I sprinted to the field so we could make it in time. Out of breath, we somehow made it right as they were bringing all of the parents and students out to the field. They went in alphabetical order, but they started towards the end. So that meant Craig was first and Token would be last. By the time where it should have been Kyle's turn, he got skipped over and I was ready to protest. Kyle saw my confusion and subtly waved his hands, assuring me that everything was fine. Kyle's parents were the only ones who weren't worried about them skipping Kyle. Suddenly I felt someone new sit right beside me.

"You don't know what's going on either huh?" I glance beside me to see Ike, with his phone out ready to record something. I just shook my head. "Looks like we're both out of the loop. I was just told to take a video of whatever good news comes out of this. My guess is Kyle made the all-star team for Denver. What do you think?" I felt very skittish, my only guess was that Kyle was voted athlete of the year by the school board. Mine seemed so little in comparison to what Ike thought. Ike obviously sees bigger things for Kyle than I could ever imagine. Guilt was coming over my body for not seeing all of the potential Kyle has for baseball. I was about to stammer out my silly guess, but Ike didn't give me a chance. "Shh, never mind, we'll find out now." There was a somewhat familiar face that took place on the field. I automatically knew what was going on.
