The first half of this chapter will go into further detail about homecoming week. If you are all too familiar with this school tradition and don't want to be bored with the details you can skip ahead until you see Kyle's POV.

Tweek's POV

The week has finally arrived, homecoming. The previous years I didn't participate much in the festivities but Butters was not having that. It starts with decorating each class' respective space of the hallway. This years theme is 'through the decades'. Butters had the bright idea for our class to do the 60's. This meant that we pretty much grabbed any rainbow, flowery, and peace sign décor we could get our hands on. This was a hippie generation so peace and love was heavily displayed throughout the hallway. It seemed easy enough to just plaster all of this everywhere we could reach. To give the seniors the upper hand, it's tradition that the class is allowed to have a sleepover at the school to have more time than all of the other classes to decorate. The idea of sleeping on the gym floor and going to school the next day didn't really appeal to me, but you think that stopped Butters from making me stay. To repress any urges I might have during the night, I suggested that Kyle and I sleep around our own little friend groups. So Kyle got to spend some more one on one time with his long-time bestie. Ok fine, Kyle's mom was going to be a chaperone and I really didn't want to give her any fuel to embarrass Kyle or say anything about his (in her words) 'precious little bean' of a boyfriend. It drives Kyle crazy whenever she refers to me as that. It's obvious that she highly associates me with coffee, which isn't a bad thing but I don't want that to be my only identifier. Now Kyle is becoming a close second to the other identifier people think of whenever they hear my name, no matter how hard I try.

The rest of the week would be filled with all class' trying to win the covited homecoming trophy. By the end of the week, the class that has the most points gets bragging rights and the trophy for the rest of the school year. The class' gets points from hallway decorations, games played during lunch time, sport type of games that everyone gets to participate in and dressing up during the school day. The dress up days were as followed: Monday- roll out of bed day, (pajama day).Tuesday- class decade, (attire from the decade each class has). Wednesday- wacky Wednesday, (crazy clothes/hair). Thursday- twin day, (matching clothes with someone else). and Friday- spirit day, (wear school colors).  It's important to get as many kids in your class to participate because whichever class has the highest percentage rate, the more points you get. All of these dress up days might sound crazy but for Friday I got to wear what I've been wearing every Friday since school started, Kyle's football jersey. Depending on whether his game is home or away, I get to wear the other one that he's not sporting. It's actually fun to see all of the kids who aren't on the football team but is dating someone on it, wear their jerseys as well.

Currently right now the whole school got dismissed for the last period of the day to attend the big homecoming assembly. The last chance to get points for each class and the people eligible for homecoming royalty gets announced. The whole school votes for one boy and girl to represent each lower class while the senior class gets two boys and girls. Second place will be prince/princess and first place gets king/queen. Which in the end, doesn't really matter because it's all just a popularity contest. All of the students who got nominated were either cheerleaders or jocks. That seems to be the only way to get noticed at this school. I tuned most of this out until Butters shook me repeatedly upon hearing Kenny's name be called as one of the finalist. Everyone loves him so it wasn't too out there for him to make the final cut, however seeing Craig alongside him was a little shocking. We won't find out who won for sure until halftime of the homecoming game.

*One day later*

Kyle's POV

The one nice thing about joining this team was me being able to stay as a wide receiver. I'm very  small in general so  realistically I wouldn't do much damage for defense. Those positions are catered for the super tall or hefty guys. Similar to basketball, I run ahead, anticipating a pass to gain further yardage for the team or score points. With Token being the quarterback he realized quickly how reliable I am for catching passes and started to throw to me more often. In the beginning he gave me the cold shoulder, but now that's in the past and he just wants to win, much to Craig's dismay. Homecoming was a different story though. No matter how hard I tried to outwit or outplay my opponents, the result would be the same. At least a few guys would be all up on me, ready to knock me down the second I received the ball. Making it nearly impossible to catch anything. It was as if the team had a personal vendetta against me. I should have seen this coming, silly me for thinking they'd go easy on me for deserting them for another team. It got so bad that my mom stomped down to the coach and demanded that I sit out for the remainder of the game and it wasn't even halftime yet. She was too worried about me getting physically hurt from all of the constant impact I kept receiving. Once I was off the field the game resumed as normal as it could have been. For the first time I felt like I was dragging the team down and that thought festered deep down in my stomach, making me feel sick. When I was riding the bench, the Cows had a fighting chance to defeat the Warriors. Thank god they did, I had high suspicion I would be blamed for our first loss. The only interesting thing that happened during the game was the crowning of homecoming royalty. Which I didn't get the full story until right now.

"So when Craig was announced as homecoming king everyone had shock written all over their face, except...." Tweek paused for dramatic effect, which was admitidly adorable. "Stan Marsh. During the last half of the game he beamed about himself spending the whole week secretly swaying the younger classman to vote for Craig. Everyone thought Kenny had it in the bag with himself being the carefree, laid back and nice all around person. So once Craig got wind that Stan had to heavily campaign for him to even make the final cut was another big blow to his ego. From what I could tell he was pissed that he wasn't automatically thought of as a popular choice and hated that he only won because of Stan. When he rudely snapped at Stan for taking pity on him, the poor sap looked heartbroken." Obviously Craig couldn't pick up the hints that Stan did all this to try to raise his spirits. It took me a few weeks of observing Stan's strange behavior towards Craig to figure out he was only trying to impress 'Mr. Grumpy Gills.'

"Dang, how come I miss all the good stuff?" Tweek shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "Seriously though, how did you find all of this stuff out, I was there at the game too, and I'm extremely observant of people as well."

"Y-yeah, but all of this happened during halftime, the game and after the game. You were either in the locker room, sitting on the bench-" Tweek abruptly stopped at the mention of myself sitting out of the game and was about to apologize profusely before I waved him off. I didn't want him to dwell too much into it, that's not what tonight is about.

"Tweek it's ok. I need to be reminded every know and then that I'm not the greatest at everything. Being knocked down a peg made me realize that I'm not invincible." I snaked my arms around his side and like it was second nature, Tweek leaned into my body for comfort. The last hour had been rather stressful for him. No matter what Tweek did or said he would always be lumped together with Craig, regardless of the fact that they haven't been a couple for almost a full year. Craig was still a thorn in his side.

While the topic of homecoming royalty was rather intriguing, I wanted to put this whole thing behind us and blurt out how Craig should have just opted out of the ballot like I did. All of this wouldn't have escalated to this great of an amount and all of the drama that soon followed. Who knew he would make such a scene about everything and in the end come of as more ungrateful than before. The dance went off without a hitch until the time for crowning came up. Craig was a 'no show' and people couldn't figure out why the guy who doesn't care would suddenly change his tune. Tweek and I are leaving the dance early because people were pestering him about Craig's whereabouts. Unlike everyone else, Tweek wasn't trying to put all of the pieces together for all of Craig's actions.

Anyone curios about Craig or I can move on to 'Twyle's' next milestone.

Also a big thanks to the several people who have been flooding my notifications with votes on the chapters.
