*Meanwhile at the winter formal*

Craig's POV

Tonight's the night..... that I die of boredom.

I don't know why I listened to Token and Clyde. They assured me that the dance wouldn't be a total borefess yet here we are. Catering to these girls every request and demand. The night started off with cringe-worthy pictures in front of the cheesiest winter backdrop I've ever seen. Good thing people are used to me not smiling because I'm pretty sure I had the meanest mug in all of those photots. Next was all of the annoying squealing when any pop song came on followed with "that's my jam" I've heard that seven times since we've got here. Once said 'jam' would start playing we (myself, Clyde, and Token) would end up holding their tiny purses and cell phones. Once the song is over the girls would complain about being sweaty and gross even though they've only danced for a few minutes They would reach for their purses that contained extra make-up and run off to the bathroom to fix themselves. This has been going on for an hour and right now the girls are in the middle of dancing along to 'New Rule' and yep you guessed it. We're standing awkwardly holding their stuff waiting for them to snatch it back when the song is over.

"You guys call this fun? This is the lamest dance I've ever been to."

"Whatever Craig, this dance isn't about us, it's about making sure the girls have a good time. You know us being good boyfriends and all." Clyde tries to tell me like he's mister 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' when it comes to the ladies. I look over to Token to make sure that what Clyde is saying isn't total crap and he just quietly nods his head for approval. "Besides this is your first time going with a girl and they obviously have different expectations tha-."In the corner of my eye I see Token smacking Clyde's head hissing the words "dude, too soon" and looks back at me with sympathetic eyes. It looked like Clyde was about to apologize but didn't get the chance since the song just ended and the girls were rushing over to us to gather their purses. Here we go again.

First came Wendy, (did I forget to mention that she was my 'date' for tonight) and she was heading straight towards me with a shy smile displayed on her face. "Thanks Craig, you're the best!"

"Yay, sure. I aim to please." She's still smiling and starts turning towards the hallway exit. At this point I'm assuming she didn't pick up on my sarcasm or is just too smitten by my good looks. She wouldn't be the only one. Ever since I've been single as a pringle almost every girl has told me how hot I am with my winning combo of dark locks and blue eyes. Not my opinion obviously but I can see where they're coming from. (Bwahaha Zac Efron from Hairspray. Oh my Lord! Am I right? Anyways back to the story.)

Right behind Wendy was Bebe stomping towards Clyde with her 'I'm better than you' attitude. What's she going to complain about this time? She's all ready chewed Clyde out about her shoes being uncomfortable and the gym being too hot. "Clyde, I'm parched. Could you be useful for once and get me something to drink?" She was able to yell at him and yank her purse away with a lot of force. This results in Clyde deep sighing and turning around to get Bebe a drink from the refreshment table. By the time Clyde came back to hand Bebe the drink she had all ready followed behind Wendy to go to the ladies room.

Last but not least came Nicole who has been silently observing Bebe's actions the whole night. She looked at Clyde with the same sympathetic eyes Token had displayed towards me earlier and mouthed 'sorry'. Clyde being used to Bebe's behavior shyly smiled towards Nicole shaking his head up and down indicating that he knows it's not her fault that his girlfriend isn't the nicest person in the world. She finally made her way to Token and slowly nudges her head in the crook of his neck. Token begins to stroke her hair for a bit then plants a soft kiss on her forehead. She pulls away to lock her fingers together with Token's and gently swings their hands back and forth. She then turns towards me with a happy smile. "It was nice of you to come to the dance with Wendy, her ex has been a real jerk these past few months. I hope they stay broken up this time and she finds someone better." With a deep sigh she looks towards the way both girls have gone to. "I better go tame the dragon." She tries to sound sarcastic but we all know there's worry and guilt in her voice. "See you guys in a bit." Token releases his grip from Nicole's hands and puts her purse in its place.
