We arrived at the Safe Haven and I looked around. Despite not being too much, it was beautiful. The green grass, people laughing, and animals walking around in the distance reminded me of the glade. It made me feel safe. "Come on," Mihno said and I followed him off the boat. (Y/N) walked beside us and I looked around. Two girls were walking our way. Now I can make her jealous. "Hey beautiful," I said to neither of them in particular. "Ew, is that a crank?" one said to the other. "Ew, is that a privileged bitch that needs to watch her mouth?" (Y/N) snapped and was about to go at them but Mihno held her back. "She can't talk about him like that," (Y/N) said and tried to lunge at the girl again. "She's not worth it. You have a lot that she doesn't. She's single with one friend and has weak blood. You have something with Newt and you have a group of friends and you're the one who can cure dead cranks," he said and turned her to face him. She calmed down and a look of fear crossed the other girls' faces. "Didn't realize how special she was, eh?" I asked and they shook their heads and walked away. "And I'm not a crank anymore," I called out but they probably didn't hear me and I didn't really care.
Mihno was walking me around the haven and I was thinking about how worked up and protective (Y/N) has gotten over me. I really didn't deserve her, and she doesn't deserve to be made jealous. I walked over to her and continued walking with her. "I'm sorry for flirting with those girls. I was trying to make you jealous," I apologized and she shrugged. She looks at me then walked over to Mihno. I wasn't sure what she was doing until she grabbed his face. She looked me in the eyes as she kissed him. When she pulled away, she walked to me. "Now we're even," she said. I felt myself rage with jealousy inside. "I didn't bloody kiss the girls!" I shouted. "But I didn't expect you to flirt with them. You expected me to do something so we're even," she said then kissed my cheek and walked away. What the bloody hell have I gotten myself into?
Mihno walked to the little hut I was staying in and knocked on the doorframe. There wasn't a door there, just vines that acted as a curtain, but I could still see Mihno through them. "Bloody come in," I said with irritation laced in my voice. "I had nothing to do with her kissing me. I wouldn't have done that to you," he said and I nodded in response. He's right I suppose. If it's anyone's fault, it's my own. I was the one who tried to make her jealous in the first place. I looked out of the small window I had and saw (Y/N) eating with Gally and Fry. "She loves you, Newt. You know that, right?" I looked at Mihno when he asked that. "Why me?" I asked and he shrugged. "I don't know considering I'm right here," he said cheekily. Bloody slinthead. "But I know she does love you," he said and walked out. I looked back at her one more time before sitting back in my little hammock. The reason they built me this hut was because so many people were uncomfortable sleeping around a "crank". I hate that damned word. It's not like I'm still infected. I'm getting better every minute that goes by. I looked out the window again, this time I didn't see (Y/N), so I decided I'd go find her.
Your POV
I was behind a group of trees, changing into a bathing suit. It had been pretty hot today and there's an ocean right in front of us so I figured I'd go for a swim.

I heard a twig snap and snapped my head towards who was there, completely forgetting I had no top on. "Oh bloody hell," Newt said and covered his eyes. "Shit," I mumbled and turned around, covering myself with my hands. "What are you doing?" I asked. "I came out here to find you, I didn't think you'd be bloody naked," he said. I couldn't help but laugh as I finished putting the bathing suit on. I turned around to him. "You can open your eyes," I said and he slowly uncovered his eyes, dropping his hand to his side. He looked me up and down and his cheeks tinted a light pink. I chuckled as I began walking away. "You're blushing," I said as I walked by him. I heard a sigh behind me and knew it was obviously his.
The water was cool but refreshing. I needed a relaxing moment after everything. I felt someone splash my back then heard chuckling behind me. Mihno had decided to join me. "You're an ass," I stated and he laughed more. "You were already in the water!" he defended and I shrugged. "You're still an ass," I said and looked at the shore where Newt was sitting with our other friends, looking back at me occasionally. "I know you love him," Mihno teased from beside me. "Yeah I do but what am I supposed to tell him? He doesn't remember what we had before they took him away," I said and he nodded with pursed. "Well first of all, he already knows you love him," Mihno said and I looked at him, "It's kind of obvious." This time I splashed him and he laughed. "Seriously though I think he feels the same so I say go for it," he said and I sighed. "Maybe he does but what if it's all moving too fast?" I asked. "In the maze, you would've died if you weren't fast," he said. It gave me something to think about. Maybe fast really isn't that bad of a thing.
