Chapter 3

Mihno's POV

I led the girl and her cranks to our camp. She had attempted to bring her gun but I told her to leave it so she didn't seem like a threat, but then Seph and Harvey pointed their pistols at me, they really kiss her ass, I don't see why. I let her bring her gun to "defend herself", as if we'd hurt her. She was surprisingly quiet the whole walk there, though. It was kind of scary. I mean, not that I'm scared of a girl, but... she has a gun, so I have a good reason to be scared. 

We finally got there and I noticed she was following behind Seph and Harvey. What's her deal now?  I shrugged it off and kept walking until I spotted Thomas with Brenda, Jorge, and a couple other immunes. "Thomas! Hey, Thomas!" I called to get his attention as I ran towards him. "Yeah, Mihno, what's up?" he asked, now curious as I was panting. "I found a couple people... not from our camp... you really need to see this," I panted out and pointed towards Seph and Harvey a bit away with their backs faced to me, obviously talking to... her. It was only now that I realized I had never actually heard the girl's name. "What? Two guys in raggedy clothing?" he asked and I shook my head. "Hey, cranks, come here and make sure she comes and doesn't run off!" I shouted to them and they turned and walked over. "She? Who's she?" Thomas asked, confused. "It's her," I said and that caught Jorge and Brenda's attention. "Stop protecting her we're not gonna hurt her," I said to Seph and Harvey who were standing in front of her. They stepped aside and she glanced around until her eyes landed on Jorge and Brenda. Her face went pale and I heard a gasp from behind me. "No way in hell," Brenda said to herself as she walked past me towards whoever this girl was. "You didn't tell me I would have to see them too," the girl said as she stared at the ground, guilt washing over her face. "I mean in my defence I didn't exactly plan out this moment," I scoffed at her acting as if this is my fault. "Who is this? I'm confused here," Thomas questioned as he looked between us all. "It's her, Hermano, it's the legend Vince told you about," Jorge said from behind Thomas. Thomas stared at nothing as he put all the pieces together. "You can cure cranks," he said to her. "If she couldn't, we wouldn't be here," Harvey spoke up. "So... you're like me but your blood is more powerful?" he asked and she nodded slightly. "So you could bring Newt back to life.." Thomas said lowly and her head shot up, suddenly paying way more attention. "What did you just say?" she asked. "My friend Newt died as a crank-" he started but she cut him off. "You let him die?!" she yelled at him getting in his face. "Wha-"  "Thomas, how could you be so stupid?! Was him trying to kill himself in the Maze not enough?! You let our childhood best friend  die?!" she yelled. "Wait, what? You knew me before the maze?" he asked her and she scoffed. "Before you joined them, yeah, then I left," she said, "and lived with them." She motioned towards Brenda and Jorge. "I lived with them for a while... then I got a message that WCKD located me, so I left with no trace for their protection.." she turned to Brenda and Jorge, "I'm so sorry for leaving." Jorge engulfed her in a hug and Brenda joined. "It's okay, (Y/N), but Thomas needs something," Brenda said and turned towards Tom. "Newt  needs something," Thomas corrected. The girl- (Y/N)- nodded slowly then sighed. "Well... take me to him."

I changed the story to newt x reader because I know y'all would probably prefer it that way, but I hope you enjoy these fillers before I get into their adventure to Newt <3
