-Your POV-
I sent Rosa off to stay with the others while I took a walk to clear my head. I don't know what to do next. Everyone followed me here, and I have Rosa, so do I continue trying to help people? Or do I go back to the island with them? And how would I adjust Rosa to a life there? Would it be better or worse? So many questions ran through my head but I didn't know how to answer any of them. I stopped where I was and sat down on the hot sand. I'm terrified of what's to come. I don't know if I'm ready for my journey to end, or if I really should stop here. I thought they'd be better off without me but they all followed me here. Why?

-Gally's POV-
It was staring at me. The child was watching me without saying a word. "Well, do you speak?" I asked. She just kept staring. "Not unless you've done something she's curious about. And when she does speak it might creep you out," Newt spoke up, glancing over for a second and then staring off again. He seriously needs to get a grip.

Okay the kid is still staring. If I back away slowly, maybe she'll leave me alone. Nope. She moved closer. This is getting weird man. You know what? I don't care if she's a kid. I'll just say it's "What the fu-"
"Hey!" Jorge cut me off, "watch your mouth. Don't talk to her like that. Come here, Rosa." She scurried off to that weird old dude. At least she's leaving me alone now.

-Jorge's POV-
"Why were you bothering him? What's so interesting, hermana?" I asked the young one. She glanced at him then looked back at me. "His eyebrows," she said shyly with a small smile. I like this one.

-Your POV-
I followed my footprints back to where we had been camped out. I didn't realize how far I had walked until I came back exhausted and dehydrated. "God you look like you've been through hell," Thomas greeted me, handing me his water. I couldn't help but chug at least half of it before I realized that I was being rude. "I feel like I've been through hell," I said, sighing. He gave me an apologetic smile and brushed my hair out of my face. "I'm sorry," he said gently. "For what? If anyone should be sorry it should be me.." I trailed off. "No. We've caused you so much unnecessary stress. You didn't deserve that. You're amazing," he said, looking at me in the eyes. I stared back for a second before shying away and glancing down. What was that...?
Luckily, Gally interrupted our.. moment. "Can you get your kid? She's freaking me out and I think she's making fun of me," he sounded genuinely upset, like he was letting himself be bullied by a child. I couldn't help but laugh at him. "Gally, grow up," I said jokingly.
I looked over at Rosa. Jorge was talking to her and seemed to be telling her some kind of story. She was fully engaged. Jorge really does make a great father figure, despite that whole tough act he puts on. "She's not hurting anyone," I said, looking at Gally again.
"Yeah but she's kinda creepy. Like she knows something we don't," he said, sounding skeptical. I rolled my eyes at him. Rosa couldn't possibly hurt anyone. She gives me hope. I wouldn't know what to do if anything happened to her.
"She's a kid. She's more innocent than any of you," I responded, defending the young girl. He still looked skeptical, though.
"If I have to punch a child, don't think I won't do it," Gally mumbled under his breath, thinking I wouldn't hear. "Gally!" I scolded, sending a punch into his shoulder. "AH! I'm joking... maybe," he said, rubbing his shoulder and snickering at my reaction.
"You're a dick." I walked away from him to sit next to Jorge. He was telling Rosa about his journey with Brenda and the boys through the scorch and WCKD's city. I was just as interested as Rosa, so I sat and listened.

-Thomas's POV-
I think Y/N and I just had a moment... right? I mean she had to have felt that too. There was a spark. There was something.. "What the hell was that?" A voice next to me snapped me out of my thoughts. Gally was looking at me with a bitter gaze. "What are you talking about?" I acted clueless, knowing he was referring to Y/N.
"You know that your best friend is in love with her, right? Or are we just skipping the part where you're being a shitty friend?" he asked accusingly. Why do I always have to be the good guy?
"Well what if I'm in love with her? Then would you go after Newt like you do to me? Maybe I could be if you guys weren't constantly nagging at me about this shit," I said aggressively, but with a hushed tone as I pushed past him.
"But you know she loves him too. You just always want to get in the way of things," Gally said. I balled my fists up, trying not to turn around. "You should mind your business," I said angrily, clenching my jaw.
"I just want her to be happy. And you're not helping. You're stressing her out way more than she should be. I get that you and her are kind of on the same boat with your special blood or whatever, but she's different. She's not like you, Thomas. What she has is more powerful and useful than yours, so why don't you just-" I cut Gally off by swinging at him. He grabbed my arm before my fist collided with his face. He twisted my arm down to my side.
With gritted teeth he got close to my ear. "Don't make this worse than you already have," he said, spit hitting my cheek. With that, he walked away from me. I'm surprised he didn't throw a punch, but I don't care. He can't control how I feel.

A/N
