Pokemon: Alexandrite & Topaz

Chapter 1: Sentoki

There was a rustle in the tall grass. Sentoki and Professor Rimu rushed over to the grass and discovered a Rattata. "Perfect example to show you how to catch Pokemon," said Professor Rimu.

"Show me daddy!" exclaimed Sentoki with joy. Professor Rimu reached behind his back and took out a Pokeball. He sent out a Pidgey. "Use Gust!" shouted Professor Rimu. Pidgey flew near the wild Rattata and flapped its wings violently. The Rattata jumped back and leaped at Pidgey with Bite attack. "Oh no!" screamed Sentoki in panic.

"I got it son!" said Professor Rimu looking back," Now use Tackle!" Pidgey counterattacked Bite and used Tackle, hitting Rattata in the chest. The Rattata fell back and Professor Rimu threw the Pokeball. The Pokeball shook 3 times then it finally beeped. Professor Rimu walked to the Pokeball, picked it up, and hid it in his belt. "Wow daddy! That was awesome!" said Sentoki with joy.

Professor Rimu and Sentoki left the field and began to make their way home. "When am I gonna be a trainer daddy?" asked Sentoki.

Professor Rimu scratched his light brown mustache and said," Well son, you're only five. It will be a while."

Sentoki looked down at his feet with disappointment.

"But..." said Professor Rimu with reassurance.

Sentoki looked back up at his genius father.

"Before you turn ten, I will help you learn about Pokemon so you will be ready when the time comes," said Professor Rimu.

Professor Rimu opened the front door and they both went inside. They took off their shoes and went up to the master bedroom. Professor Rimu walked over to his closet and came out with black shades.

"Here," said Professor Rimu said, giving the shades to Sentoki. The shades were Oakley's, black and yellow.

"These shades were mine when I won the Pokemon League. I consider it good luck," his father said, reaching for something else.

Professor Rimu took out a blue bandanna out of a drawer and tied it around Sentoki's forehead.

"This will give you power. You will never be defeated as long as you have this bandana," said his father as he pat him on the head.

Sentoki's mother walked into the room. "Dinner's ready," she said.

Sentoki and Professor Rimu freshened up and went to the dinner table. On the table, there was rice, chicken, tilapia, and mango juice. Once dinner was finished, Mrs. Rimu cleaned up the table while Professor Rimu began to teach Sentoki the Pokemon basics. After a few minutes, Professor Rimu finally brought up the topic of Pokemon thieves.

"There are people in this world that steal. Some steal precious items, others steal Pokemon," said Professor Rimu.

"Who would steal Pokemon?" asked Sentoki with curiosity.

"There's an organization called Team Rocket. They are pure evil. Their plan is to steal Pokemon and rule the world. You will see them when you start your own journey, I'm sure of that," said Professor Rimu.

"Then what will I do daddy?" asked Sentoki with fear in his eyes.

"I will teach you how to defend yourself son," said Professor Rimu.

Suddenly, there was a sudden flash of light outside your house.

"Give it up Rimu!" yelled a voice from outside.

Mrs. Rimu peeked thru the window curtains and saw men in black, with Pokemon by their side.

Mrs. Rimu looked at her husband and nodded.

Professor Rimu picked up Sentoki and took him to the back of the house. Mrs. Rimu ran to them also.

"Go!" yelled Professor Rimu as he sent out a Machamp, Poliwrath, Arcanine, and Venusaur.

"Son, be brave, be strong, and be careful," said Professor Rimu as he hugged his son and kissed his forehead. He got up and turned around.

Mrs. Rimu kissed Sentoki in the cheek and gave him a hug. "Son," she said," Do your best." She got up. The door crashed down as an Aggron, Magnezone, Golem, and Haxorus charged in. Venusaur, Arcanine, and Poliwrath clashed with Magnezone, Aggron, and Golem. The Haxorus stood and scanned the room for Sentoki. Sentoki, in plain sight, freaked out and ran for the backyard door. The Haxorus chased after him. Just when it looked like Sentoki was about to be taken, Machamp came out and used Mega Punch, hitting the Haxorus right in the face. The Haxorus fell over as the Machamp tried to attack using Cross Chop. Sentoki ran back to the front door.

"Daddy! Mommy!" he yelled in terror.

Professor Rimu turned around and called back his Pokemon. He then walked over to Sentoki and squatted in front of him.

"Go! You have to. Don't worry about us, we'll be fine," said Professor Rimu.

There was a scream from outside. Mrs. Rimu has already been taken by Team Rocket.

Just then, Professor Rimu was snatched by Haxorus. Professor Rimu suddenly remembered something. He reached into his left pocket and took out a Pokeball. On the Pokeball, there was a small note.

"Son!" he yelled in Haxorus's arm. He threw the Pokeball to Sentoki and caught it. He looked outside and saw a man in grey commanded the Pokemon to attack.

"Follow the instructions," he yelled," and be strong!"

"Run!" his mother yelled from outside.

Sentoki ran to the backyard door. Ducking under and dodging Team Rocket's Pokemon, he made it to the backyard. He climbed over the fence and ran until he thought he was safe. Back at home, Aggron was walking to the back door.

"Leave him," a Rocket grunt said," we'll get him next time."

The man in grey withdrew the Golem, Aggron, Haxorus, and Magnezone.

"Self Destruct," said another Rocket grunt as he threw 5 Electrodes into the house.

Sentoki looked back at the house. Suddenly, it exploded. Large pieces of the house flying everywhere. Sentoki, in tears, began to sprint as he looked down at the Pokeball. He kept running nonstop. He turned around and saw smoke coming out of his house that was caused by the explosions. He finally stopped and hid behind a large tree. He began to read the note that was attached to the top of the Pokeball.

"Sentoki, the time has come. It's time for your mother and me to go," the note read," Don't worry about us. It's about you. This story will be about you. You choose what you want to do with it. Don't let anyone tell you how to rule your life. I want you to fulfill your dreams as a Pokemon trainer. In this Pokeball, your partner awaits. Be brave, be strong, and be proud."

Sentoki threw the Pokeball and out came a baby Squirtle. Sentoki flipped the note over and there was more written.

"Although you're not ten yet, this Squirtle will keep you company. It cannot attack since it was only hatched not that many days ago. Squirtle is a symbol of you. New to life and clueless about everything around it. Yes son, I know this day was coming and I know you're wondering what was going on. I used to work with Professor Oak, the other Pokemon professor here at Pallet Town. The only thing that got between us was Team Rocket. We were studying Mew when we heard the news that Team Rocket would steal any information regarding Mew. We decided to split apart so it would be harder to get us both. They have already tried to get Professor Oak, but they failed. They came for me, and now you're here. Alone with Squirtle. After I stopped working with Professor Oak, I began to run a daycare center. Go there; You know where it is. I want you to choose Pokemon to use in your team. You will become a Pokemon Master. Good luck on your journey."

Sentoki slid the note in his pocket and began to cry in his arms. Squirtle then looked at Sentoki and began to comfort him by patting him on the back. Sentoki looked up and said," We have to go Squirtle. It's what my father wants." He put the Pokeball in his other pocket and he put Squirtle on his back. They began to walk to the Daycare Center in midnight, while leaving his blown up, flaming house, and entire childhood behind.
