Chapter 39: To the League

"RISE AND SHINE, IT'S TIME TO GO!" exclaimed Kimyona as she barged into Sentoki's room. He threw a pillow at her face to shut her up.

"Well that was rude," she retorted, "Whatever, we can just leave you here and go to the Pokemon League on our own."

"You're starting to sound like Hikaru," Sentoki observed, "And isn't it a bit too early to leave?"

"Not at all, it's almost 10," Kimyona said, pulling off his sheets.

"WHAT? Why didn't anyone wake me up?" Sentoki yelled, frantically getting dressed.

"Hikaru was supposed to but no one knows where she went," she said, getting his breakfast to him.

"Where the hell did she go?" Sentoki said, shoving a piece of toast down his throat. At that moment, Sentoki and Kimyona heard some knocking at his window. Sentoki went to his window to investigate. To their surprise, they saw Hikaru there sitting on Charizard.

"Hikaru? What are you doing? Where have you been?" Kimyona scolded at her.

"Now is not the time for questions. Now is the time to go to Indigo Road," Hikaru simply stated, "I'll meet you two downstairs."

Sentoki and Kimyona sighed and ran downstairs to meet with Hikaru.

"Where's Lance? I gotta tell him we're going," Sentoki asked when they got outside.

"Oh yeah, he told us he had to deliver some Pokemon eggs to the Pokemon Center," Hikaru said nonchalantly.

"He gives you his good luck though!" Kimyona said, reassuring him, "He said he'll watch you on T.V."

Sentoki's head dropped in disbelief. His only true support can't be with him at the League. "Fine," he said with hardly any meaning.

They went outside and took some spare bicycles out of a shed in the back. Just before they left the gate, Sentoki stopped and looked around. "Wait!" he exclaimed.

Hikaru and Kimyona suddenly hit the breaks. "What?" they said in unison.

"There's no one here to watch the Pokemon. Where are all the workers?" Sentoki remarked.

"Oh they're all inside, don't worry," answered Hikaru.

Sentoki rode off along with Hikaru and Kimyona who were already ahead of him by a quarter-of-a-mile.

VIRIDIAN CITY

"Well, we're almost there," said the proud Hikaru as she hopped off her bike.

"Wow. All this training. All these badges..." said Kimyona as she opened her badge case and gazed at the shiny badges.

"Wait. Where the hell did Sentoki go now?!" exclaimed Hikaru in frustration.

They wandered around Viridian City, desperately searching for the third member of their gang. Finally, they say him standing in front of a big sign with all his Pokemon beside him. They heard him say," We finally made it. Look. We're almost there. All we have to go through now is Victory-" he was cut off by Kimyona.

"Hey! What're you doin' over here!" questioned Kimyona.

"I-I uhh..." Sentoki said somewhat flustered.

"Aww, look. He's giving his Pokemon a pep talk. How cute. Too bad you're no good at them," Hikaru teased.

"There's nothing wrong with hyping them up. I mean, we're heading to the freaking Pokemon League." Sentoki defended himself, "All our hard work is paying off."
