Chapter 28: Safari Zone

"Safari Zone. Catch any Pokemon without harming it." Sentoki said, reading the sign on the top of the building.

"Yup," Kimyona said. Hikaru wasn't paying much attention. She was cheering and hugging Pichu in the of the building. She was the main reason they went to the Safari Zone. Sentoki face palmed and called her over to they can go inside. They entered and talked to the attendee at the lobby.

"Welcome to the Safari Zone. Would you like to catch Pokemon for 500 dollars?"

"Sure, but what are the rules?" Kimyona asked.

"You can only catch Pokemon without harming it and you have all the time you want. As soon as you run out of Safari Balls, you leave." The attendee answered.

"What if a Pokemon attacks you and you're unable to catch it?"

"Run."

"But what if you're cornered?"

"Then I guess you'll have to battle."

They paid the attendee their money and got their 30 Safari Balls. They walked through the main gates. It was quiet, too quiet. As they walked, more Pokemon began to appear.

"Found 'em," Sentoki smirked.

"Well my goal really isn't to catch 'em all, but I guess I can catch one or two." Hikaru shrugged.

"If you didn't wanna catch any, why did you drag us to come?"

"I wanted to see what it was like. My Grandparents said it was a lot of fun so I wanted to see if it was true. Besides, you guys wanted to come here anyways,"

"True, very true."

After successfully catching 4 Pokemon, a large fire blasted into the sky.

"We should follow it!" Hikaru said excitedly.

Then a beam went into the sky.

"What the?" Kimyona said.

They found it. There was a very familiar figure there.

"J-Jake?!" The trio said in unison.

"Oh hey. It's you."

Hikaru saw a Charizard and a Venusaur battling. "Hey! You can't use your Pokemon!"

"Says who?" Jake said.

"The rules!"

Venusaur got aggravated and started to attack.

"Charizard, get rid of these losers!"

Sentoki sent out Berserk and Kimyona released Pidgey. They tried to calm down Venusaur.

"Ah! Dratini! Battle!" Sentoki commanded.

Sentoki decided not to use Tabak, since it just evolved.

Dratini was facing off against Charizard. Dratini's quick speed allowed him to dodge all of Charizard's attacks. It finally let loose with a Thunder Wave.

"Nice one!"

Berserk tried to scare Venusaur while Pidgey tried to make it dizzy. Venusaur used Power Whip. The attack missed but it cause a great amount of damage to a nearby tree!

"Hikaru! Go get help!" Kimyona said. Hikaru secretly left and went to get the attendee.

Pidgey dove into Venusaur and used Tackle, barely doing any damage. Suddenly, Pidgey began to evolve!

"Pidgeeeottoooooooo!!!!!!"

"Yay!" Kimyona squealed joyfully.

Venusaur was keeping a keen eye on both Berserk and Pidgeotto. Just when Pidgeotto tried to hit it from behind and Berserk from the front, he attacked with Power Whip. Pidgeotto dodged it but Berserk was hit clean in the face. He smashed back into a tree, dizzy.

Dratini was nearly flying as he dodged Charizard's attacks! Finally, Charizard was able to land a blow hard enough to send Dratini flying. Dratini evolved! He swooped back down as a Dragonair and smashed Charizard's face with Dragon Rush. Sentoki took out Rambo and Dinamika and finished Charizard with Water Gun and Thunderbolt. Jake withdrew Charizard and ran off.

Berserk stood up, exhausted. Pidgeotto came back to Berserk and tried to encourage it to fight. Berserk tightened its fist and began to evolve into an Emboar!

"Yes!!" Sentoki cheered.

"EMMBOOAAARRRRR!!!!!!"

Emboar used Focus Blast toward Venusaur. Pidgeotto swooped down and began to fly behind the red ball. It then used Whirlwind and increased the speed of the attack. Venusaur was hit then it was scared off.

Dragonair came back to Sentoki as he praised his two newly evolved Pokemon.

Hikaru just returned with Safari Zone Security.

"What took you so long?" Sentoki questioned.

"I had to battle a few rampaging Pokemon on the way there. Obviously Jake's fault." She rolled her eyes and looked at her friend's Pokemon, "Seems like I missed some important things."

"Just a bit," Kimyona said, smiling.

They explained the situation and how they tried to end it. They were then excused and they continued to roam around the Safari Zone. Finally, they got tired and went back to the Pokemon Center because tomorrow, they go to Seafoam Islands!
