Chapter 45: Preliminary Rounds Part 2

It was time for Kimyona to battle. She stood in the arena, looking around, thinking this could either be her last battle or the beginning of a new chapter. Whoever wins, advances and it would continue. The other trainer was a boy, who unleashed a Machamp. Kimyona thought it would be a good idea to do hand-to-hand combat so she took out her Machamp.

Both Machamps stood on the arena ground, staring at each other. Kimyona's Machamp said something and the other Machamp nodded. It translated to "Like men." Both Machamps poised, ready to charge. Kimyona and the other trainer looked at each other, thinking "what is going on?" Then, the Machamps charged at each other. The other Machamp threw a punch and Kimyona's stopped in its tracks and leaned back, doing some sorta Muhammad Ali trick. Then, Kimyona's Machamp came back forward and punched the other right in the chin. Kimyona's then reached down, grabbed the Machamp's leg, and slammed it onto the ground. The other one then used a Low Kick, knocking Machamp down. With both the Machamps on the ground, the other one leaped onto Kimyona's and they began to roll around the ground in frustration. Machamp then positioned its left foot onto the other's left thigh and its right foot onto its right thigh. Then after one more roll, Kimyona's Machamp threw the other one into a wall. Machamp then chased after it. Right before the other could get up, Machamp used ThunderPunch, crushing it into the wall and slightly shaking the wall. Like a badass, Machamp walked away and back onto its side of the arena.

Next was Rapidash. Likewise, Kimyona sent out Arcanine. Rapidash and Arcanine were poised, scuffing up dust by dragging back and lifting its leg. After a roar and a neigh, they ran at each other. Arcanine was running in a curve while Rapidash ran straight. They both let out a Flamethrower, missing. Then, Rapidash used Fury Attack and sent Arcanine back. With dust in its eyes, Arcanine couldn't see. Just as the dust cleared, Rapidash nailed Arcanine in the neck with a Megahorn. Arcanine collapsed to the ground. Kimyona decided she should use Beedrill.

Beedrill flew around, thinking how he should approach Rapidash. Rapidash was trotting close. Beedrill tried String Shot but was stopped by Rapidash's Flamethrower. Beedrill distracted Rapidash with another String Shot which was disintegrated as well. Then Beedrill got close enough and shot Rapidash with Poison Sting. Rapidash stopped running and was inflicted with poison! Beedrill saw its chance and used String Shot. Flying in circles around Rapidash, Beedrill began to trap Rapidash in its string. Once Rapidash was enveloped in the webbing, Beedrill used Pin Missile and began to hurt the defenseless horse. Beedrill got distance and came back with Fury Attack, finishing the Rapidash.

One more Pokemon to battle.

It was Primeape! The wild monkey beat its chest and was ready for an epic battle. Kimyona knew Flying types beat Fighting so she sent out Pidgeot. Pidgeot got low and used Wing Attack. Suddenly, Primeape's incredible speed let him grab Pidgeot by the throat and slam it on its back. With Pidgeot on its back and Primeape on top, it was no good. Pidgeot was able to loosen up and use Twister, launching Primeape in the air. However, Primeape landed on its feet and was still ready for battle. Pidgeot used Wing Attack at a low altitude again. This time, Primeape used Karate Chop and dropped Pidgeot onto its stomach. Primeape tried to stomp on Pidgeot but before its foot could land, Pidgeot quickly used Quick Attack and escaped through Primeape's legs. Primeape fell face forward and Pidgeot came back around with Tackle. Primeape avoided it and used Close Combat. But when Primeape jumped into the air so get height, it fell into Pidgeot's trap and was into a Whirlwind. As Primeape fell to the ground, Pidgeot chased after and used Wing Attack, defeating the tricky Primeape.

"Kimyona has won!"
