Chapter 13: Cerulean Cave

Drip. Drip. Drip. The cave was dark and spooky. There were bat noises here and there. Sentoki sent out Elekid so his electric charge can light the place up. Soon, Sentoki began to feel scared. He began to reconsider his decision of going into the cave. He looked over at his companions. Kimyona seemed to regret the decision too. Hikaru, on the other hand, was beaming with excitement. She kept telling a nervous Pichu about how cool it was to be in the cave.

Suddenly, ten Zubat flew at the trio, using Poison Sting. Elekid was able to scare them away with ThunderShock but instead, he only made it worse. Soon, the mother Golbat began to chase them around the cave and eventually, Elekid got knocked out.

"Go Tepig! Use Ember!"

The fire scorched the Goldbat's foot but the Golbat used Supersonic. Just then the Zubat came out and attacked Tepig.

"No! Rambo! Use Water Gun!"

Rambo stepped forward and began to spray the Golbat with water, disabling its attack and knocking it back a few feet. However, Tepig was still being attacked.

'I can't use Rambo, he might hurt him,' thought Sentoki.

Tepig was down, covering its ears and squealing. Suddenly, from under the Zubats, there was a glow of light. The Zubats were thrown off and the glowing figure stood up.

"Pignite!" the newly evolved Pokemon said.

"You evolved.....for me!" said Sentoki with gleaming eyes.

Pignite looked at Sentoki and smirked. It then turned around and used Focus Blast, sending the Zubat everywhere throughout the cave. Immediately, Sentoki released his other Pokemon and ran up Pignite and gave him a hug. Hikaru and Kimyona also ran to them and congratulated Pignite on evolving. Suddenly, Golbat returned with Gust. Just when Pignite was about to attack, Kimyona's Machoke escaped from the Pokeball and Mega Punched it. Pignite was furious!

'I was gonna get that!' Pignite thought to itself. He jumped onto Machoke and leaped into the air, hitting the Golbat with Focus Blast and scaring it away. Machoke was angry as well. He tried to grab Pignite but he quickly dodged it and Low Kicked Machoke. Treecko jumped between them to stop the fight.

'Treecko treecko tree!" said Treecko as it tried to calm them both down. They walked away from each other, each to their trainers. Pignite was angry at Machoke and so was Machoke at Pignite. Sentoki tried to cheer Pignite up. He said," That was awesome Pignite! The way you finished that Golbat and Zubat! Amazing. Your Focus Blast was insane! And for that, I think I'll name you.....Berserk!"'

Meanwhile, Kimyona was disappointed with Machoke. She went up to him," That's not a nice thing to do, Machoke. It was Berserk's battle. He could handle it. Next time you do that, I won't use you in battle for a while."

Suddenly, there was a loud rumble and heavy shaking.

"Quick! Let your Pokemon out!"

All the Pokemon were outside. Suddenly, the ground collapsed and they all fell. They landed in a small pool of water and on some rocks. Luckily, no one was hurt. They walked down a dark tunnel. They heard a sound coming from the other end of the tunnel. As they got closer, a pink light began to form. There was a low voice coming from the dark room.

"MEEEWWWWWWWWW......." The trio and Pokemon were able to make out the noise.

"Who are you!" yelled Kimyona.

There was a rumble.

"It can't be Mew 'cause Mew has a high pitched cry. If it's not Mew, then it must be-" said Hikaru as she got cut off.

"Mewtwo," said Kimyona.

"WHAT THE FUUUUUUU-!!!!!!!!!!!"

"....TTTWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was a bright pink flash of light followed by an explosion.

Sentoki sat up on a bed. "The hell am I?" asked Sentoki.

"Hey kid!" said a girl. He couldn't see her face because it was too bright. He slipped on his shades.

"Misty."

"How's it going?" asked Misty.

"Where am I and why am I in bed? Was I raped?" asked Sentoki with panic.

Misty giggled. "No, you're not dead you haven't been raped."

"Then why am I here? And what is this place?"

"You're in the Pokemon Center. We found you outside the Cerulean Cave. Your friends were there also. You were all unconscious. We brought you here so you could recover."

"Where-Where's H-Hikaru and Kimyona?"

"They're sleeping in different rooms. Do you remember anything?"

"Yeah. There was a pink flash of light. After that, we must've blacked out."

"Did you see anyone else there?"

"Mewtwo."

Misty got up from sitting on the bed. She scratched her head as she walked around the room.

"That place is insanely dangerous. Who let you in there?"

"Hikaru. Well she was eavesdropping on a conversation and she convinced us to go. It was a bit sketchy on it but I still decided to go. My Tepig evolved also- Wait. Where's my Pokemon!" Sentoki shot up from the bed.

"They're fine. They were all up when you guys were out. They ran to the center as fast as possible. They alerted me. I was at the center. They're healing right now. The cave entrance is sealed off. A huge pile of boulders collapsed and blocked it."

"Thank God." Sentoki threw himself back into bed.

"There was something funny about your Pignite and Kimyona's Machoke." Misty gave Sentoki a cup of water.

"What about them?"

"They seemed like they were enemies. They were racing towards here. I looked threw the glass doors. They were also racing to see who could alert me the fastest."

"Oh yeah. That started in the cave."

"Seems a bit like friendly rivalry."

"It's rivalry but it's not friendly. They hate each other." Sentoki drank.

"Why?"

Sentoki explained the incident between the Golbat and Machoke interfering with Berserk's attack.

"I see. So where are you heading to next after here? Saffron?"

"Yup. We're going after Sabrina. I heard she possesses psychic powers."

"She does. Type advantage could only help a little. I'll go check on them."

Misty left and checked Hikaru and Kimyona, who were finally awake. They got their Pokemon and left Cerulean City; heading to the next gym: Saffron City!
