Chapter 3: The Team

Nine years have passed since Professor Rimu and his wife has been captured by Team Rocket. Sentoki was now a man of 14 years, living at the Daycare Center with his Squirtle. Outside, the new owner of the Daycare was tending the Tauros. Sentoki, with Squirtle, approached the man from behind. "Excuse me, Lance?" he said. Lance turned around with a bucket in his hand.

"What is it?" asked Lance.

Sentoki looked down at Squirtle as Squirtle clutched his fist.

"I'm ready," Sentoki said with a firm voice.

Lance placed his bucket down and took off his gloves. He then called over 3 of his assistants as he, Sentoki, and Squirtle went inside. They passed the main lobby and went through a door that said "EMPLOYEES ONLY." Inside, there was all the Pokemon that were left by Trainers. Once they passed all the Pokemon, there was another door with a pass code on the handle. Inside, there were eggs from different kinds of Pokemon. Each egg was categorized under each species of Pokemon. After walking around the room, Lance said," Choose your team," as he put his hand up. Sentoki walked around the room and after a few minutes of thinking, he decided.

"I want a Dratini," he said. One of the assistants reached onto the top shelf and took a Dratini egg. He walked over to a cart, put the egg in a blanket, and placed the egg in the cart.

"And a Treecko," said Sentoki as he pointed at the egg. Another assistant took the egg and put it in the cart.

Sentoki walked to the other side of the room. "I also want a Tepig!" he said. A Tepig egg was also put onto the cart.

"And I want an Elekid," he said. An Elekid egg was placed onto the cart.

"My final Pokemon will be an Eevee," he said as he folded his arms.

The final egg was placed onto the cart. The cart left the room and was being moved to another room.

Lance, Sentoki, and Squirtle left the room and walked back outside. "By tomorrow, they should be hatched," said Lance. After playing with Squirtle for a few more hours, Sentoki went to bed, anxious to see his new Pokemon.

The next day, Sentoki left his room and went outside. There, his new baby Pokemon were lined up outside in the other he chose them. Lance approached him from behind and said," You're ready," as he tied Sentoki's bandanna around his head. Sentoki was given the Pokeballs and he headed for the door.

"These past 9 years I've seen you grown up, it seemed like you completely forget about your parents," said Lance.

"No," said Sentoki," I will find them."

"Your father said not to worry about them," said Lance with amusement.

"I will become a Pokemon Master," said Sentoki," but during my journey I will also find my parents and the people who took them.

Lance looked at Sentoki and gave him a hug. Sentoki picked up his blue satchel and headed towards the door.

"Good luck," said Lance.

Sentoki stepped out of the doorway and began to walk down the path.

"One more thing!" Lance shouted from the doorway.

Sentoki turned around and walked a few steps forward.

"Visit Professor Oak's lab! It's not so far from here! Since your his partner's son, he knows what happened and he can help you," Lance shouted.

"Alright. Will do," said Sentoki.

He turned around and waved back at Lance and the workers. He looked down at looked at Squirtle. He began to walk down the path as he slipped his shades from his head, to his eyes.
