Chapter 47: Final Rounds Part 2 - Kimyona vs Jinsoku

Kimyona woke up and stretched. She rubbed her eyes and chapped her lips. She suddenly remembered her whole life was ahead of her in a few hours. 9:21 AM. Kimyona quickly got dressed into semi-decent clothes and went for breakfast with Sentoki and Hikaru.

"That was an awesome battle yesterday," Kimyona said. Hikaru sensed she was nervous judging by the tone of her voice.

"Hey, you're gonna be just fine. There's nothing to worry about," Hikaru said, as she put her hand on Kimyona's shoulder with reassurance.

"Yeah! You're gonna smoke this guy!" said Sentoki with a small jump.

Kimyona finished up her breakfast and checked the time once more. 11:04. She had about an hour and half until the moment. "I-I'm gonna go practice. I'll contact you guys before the match."

"Do you need any help?" asked Sentoki.

"No.. I'll be fine, thank you." Kimyona got up and left, going to a nearby field. Out came Venusaur, Arcanine, Dewgong, Beedrill, Pidgeot, and Machamp. "Alright you guys, it's almost time for us to prove our might. We're gonna go out there and show the world what we can do!" Her Pokemon all smiled happily. After an hour of training it was already 12:15. Kimyona recalled her Pokemon to their Pokeballs and phoned Hikaru. They met up outside the arena.

"Kimyona. You got this. Me and Sentoki will be there to cheer you on. Don't worry," Hikaru said, still sensing nervousness in Kimyona's vibe.

Kimyona was feeling more confident. She knows she has the perfect team to win. Kimyona exchanged hugs with Hikaru and Sentoki before they departed; Kimyona going into the competitor's room and Hikaru and Sentoki to the stands.

"Tonight we are victorious, champagne pouring over us," mumbled Hikaru.

12:30.

Kimyona sat in a chair. Hands folded together, dangling on her lap with her head down. Sweat began to accumulate on her forehead. "Six pokemon. One victor," she thought in her head. Her name was announced. "Up next, Kimyona vs Jinsoku!" Kimyona squeezed her eyes and stood up confidently. Her heartbeat steadied and she walked to the exit. The light shone in her eyes and as she walked up to her box, there she saw Jinsoku, looking right at her. Kimyona ignored the announcer's words and had all her mind focused on victory. "BEGIN!"

Kimyona grabbed a Pokeball and out came Machamp. Jinsoku wiggled his fingers and threw out his Gengar. Kimyona made a fist, "Submission!"

"Wait! Did she forget that Fighting moves have no effect on Ghost types?!" shouted Sentoki.

Machamp ran up to Gengar and tried to grab it. His hands phased right through Gengar. Machamp looked at Gengar with a surprised and confused look on his face. Gengar suddenly used Shadow Punch. Machamp flew back to Kimyona on his back. He got up and shook his head, dazed from Gengar.

"Shit! I forgot Machamp can't do anything to Gengar!" shouted Kimyona as she hit herself in the forehead. She quickly switched out with Arcanine. Arcanine quickly used Flame Wheel without command and charged into Gengar. Gengar was launched back and quickly recovered. Gengar's smile grew wider. "Payback!"

Gengar used Payback and attacked Arcanine with double the power! Arcanine used Crunch out of a reflex and defeated Gengar.

"Gengar has been defeated!"

"Huh?!" shouted Jinsoku with shock , "Fine. Time for the big gun," and Blastoise was deployed.

"Oh look at that. I wish Jinsoku would beat Kimyona just so I can battle that Blastoise," said Sentoki with a brash attitude.

"Hey! Don't say that!" said Hikaru as she slapped Sentoki on the arm.

"What? It would be a pretty interesting battle if you asked me," said Sentoki as he rubbed his arm.
