Chapter 4: Fioure Region

"Grandpa, I'm fine," Hikaru said reassuring her caretaker on the phone, "I'm in a Pokemon Center in Fioure right now. I made it safely from Johto. I'm only going to Professor Aspen's lab. It's not that far from here."

"Hikaru, are you sure you will be alright? Fioure is a region even I haven't been to," Grandpa said through the phone.

"I already told you I'm fine. Plus I have Pichu, Vulpix, Absol, Riolu, and Zorua," she said. "Well anyways, I better go. The Professor's expecting me soon. Love you, bye!"

"Grandma, she hung up on me. She's in her rebellious stage, isn't she? Being fourteen, I'm not surprised," Grandpa said with a teary eye.

"Sheesh, you tell her a Professor is looking for a Pokedex Holder and she goes to an entirely different region for it," Grandma said.

"It's been nine years since she said she wanted to be a Pokedex Holder," Grandpa said with nostalgia in his voice.

"Yeah, but it's also been nine years since she's seen her parents," Grandma said bitterly.

"Pichu, isn't this exciting!. I'm finally getting a Pokedex. This is the best birthday ever!" Hikaru said happily.

"Pichu, pi!" Pichu replied with a smile.

Hikaru and Pichu were almost halfway to Professor Aspen's lab when Pichu heard a noise. "Pichu, what's wrong?" Hikaru asked. Pichu then jumped off of Hikaru's shoulder and started running away from the path towards the forest. "Wait! Where are you going?"

Pichu didn't listen to Hikaru. It just kept running; almost as if it was following something. When Hikaru finally caught up with Pichu, they were far away from the path. She saw Pichu happily playing with some sort of Pokemon. It was green and flying around Pichu. It looked like a baby fairy.

Pichu gestured for Hikaru to come over and play when they were attacked by dark purple waves. "That was Dark Pulse!" Hikaru shouted as she ran away with Pichu and the mysterious green Pokemon. 'What Pokemon is attacking us?' she wondered.

They ran away going deeper into the forest when their attacker, a black shadow-like Pokemon, ambushed them in the front with Double Team to keep them from running away. "Darkrai, good job cornering the target. Now is the time to capture Celebi, the Time Traveling Pokemon! With it in my clutches, I'll be able to control time," said the voice of a man.

"Pichu, use Thunder Wave!" Hikaru commanded. Before Pichu could initiate the move, there was a sudden bright flash, blinding everyone.

Pichu was trying to wake up its trainer after being teleported to a pasture in an unfamiliar place. When Hikaru woke up, Pichu gave her a huge hug. "Eh? Pichu?" Hikaru looked at her surroundings. "Where is this place? What happened to those two Pokemon and that guy?" Her thoughts were broken when Celebi came and gave her some water.

"That guy who attacked us, he said you were called Celebi, right? Were you the one who took us here with that flash?"

Celebi nodded. "That guy said that you were the Time Traveling Pokemon? Does that mean we're in the future?"

Celebi shook its head.

"Then that means, WE'RE IN THE PAST?!"

Celebi giggled gleefully.
