Chapter 11: Cerulean City

The trio woke up at around 10 to hit the gym early and so they can save time for Cerulean Cave. They began to talk on the way to the gym.

"So who's the gym leader here?" asked Hikaru.

"Misty," replied Kimyona.

"What type does she use?" asked Hikaru.

"My favorite: water," said Sentoki.

"I have my Bulbasaur so I'll be at an advantage. And just in case, I could use my Seel," said Kimyona with confidence.

Sentoki stopped and said," We're here."

They enter and found a large pool with floats in them.

"Perfect. Just as I expected," said Sentoki with a smirk.

"You here to challenge me?" asked Misty from the other side.

"Isn't that what a gym is for?" asked Sentoki with a smart ass voice.

"Someone's a little cocky," answered back Misty.

Hikaru and Kimyona sat down while Kimyona said," You go ahead."

"I got a feeling this is gonna be an epic fight," said Hikaru with a psyched voice.

Sentoki threw down his satchel and took out a Pokeball.

Misty threw out her Staryu.

Sentoki sent out Treecko.

The referee, on the other side of the field, said," This a 3 on 3 gym challenge. Gym Leader Misty versus the challenger: Sentoki!"

"Staryu! Use Bubble Beam!"

Bubbles were fired were Treecko while Treecko dodged them and jumped behind Staryu.

"Now use Quick Attack!"

Quickly, Treecko attacked Staryu and knocked it into the water. The float began to shake when suddenly Staryu shot up from under Treecko, making him fly.

"Treeeee!!"

"Water Gun attack!"

Quickly, Sentoki thought of a way to defend.

"Treecko! Slam attack the float!"

Treecko, while falling, rushed over and Slammed the float with his tail, hitting Staryu and making it fight.

"The winner of Round 1 is Sentoki!" announced the referee.

"Amazing!" yelled Hikaru while Kimyona clapped.

"You did well, now face this," said Misty as she took out Dewgong.

Hikaru bumped Kimyona with her elbow and said," You better pay attention. Your Seel might end up like this."

"Treecko, Slam!"

Treecko lunged at Dewgong with its tail. Dewgong turned to dodge but when it did, it also hit Treecko with its tail, making it faint.

"Treecko is unable to battle!"

"I still have more," said Sentoki with a confident tone," Go Elekid!"

"Ele ele!"

"Dewgong! Use Ice Shard!"

"Counter with Low Kick!"

Elekid began to knock the ice away. Finally, one was powerful enough to knock Dewgong into the water. Elekid dove in also. For a few seconds, nothing came out of the water and nothing was seen underwater. Suddenly, there was a bright flash of yellow and a sharp flash of light blue. Elekid was tossed out, fainted. Soon after, Dewgong also surfaced, fainted.

"Elekid and Dewgong are both unable to battle!"

Hikaru and Kimyona were on the edge of their seats. The fight was intense. Both talent Pokemon trainers were tied. It is clearly unknown who the winner will be!

'I could use Dratini, but that's not how I envisioned how I'd win. I'll leave it to my star!' Sentoki thought to himself. He looked down. "Ready?"

"Squirtle squirt!"

"You're up."

"A Squirtle, eh?"

"He's not just any Squirtle....his name's Rambo."

"In that case, go Goldeen!"

"Rambo, use Water Gun!"

Quickly, Goldeen dodged by going underwater.

"Aqua Ring!"

"Dodge it Rambo!"

He moved to the side and countered with Bubble. Again, Goldeen ducked underwater and tried to hit Rambo with Water Gun. Rambo tried to use Bubble but Goldeen dodged once again. Sentoki looked down, trying to think.

"Is he giving up?" asked Kimyona with a worried voice.

"No. He never would. He's thinking," said Hikaru as she sat back with her arms folded.

Sentoki began to mumble words to himself. He looked up and saw Rambo's attacks keep missing. He looked at the water. "Be like water...." he mumbled. He clenched his fist and looked at Rambo.

"He has an idea," said Hikaru as she sat up.

With style, he slipped his shades on, pointed, and yelled," It's time for me to end this!"

Goldeen was underwater. Sentoki yelled, "Use Water Gun on the float. As soon as water made contact, Goldeen shot up and hit the float with Horn Attack. Rambo jumped up and Skull Bashed the float, making it fall and hit Goldeen.

"There we go!" yelled Kimyona.

"Perfect," said Sentoki.

Goldeen jumped from under Rambo. Rambo flipped and used Water Gun on Goldeen. A direct hit! While Kimyona was cheering for Sentoki, Hikaru glanced at Misty. She seemed a bit strange, like she was waiting for something.

Finally, there were only floats left on each of the sides of the field, one on Sentoki's and one on Misty's. Rambo was finally in the water.

'Uh oh,' thought Hikaru as she slowly stood up.

"Your Squirtle seems tired," said Misty," Finish it with Horn Drill."

"Shit no!" yelled Kimyona.

"Dammit Sentoki! You got this!"

As Goldeen was swimming toward Squirtle, Sentoki, with a cocky voice, said," You wanna know how he got the nickname 'Rambo'?"'

Goldeen was getting closer to Rambo. Sentoki looked at Rambo and nodded. Squirtle dove down. Suddenly, the two figures were right in front of each other, then there was a huge smash. Goldeen shot up from underwater and landed on Misty's float, nearly dead. Rambo jumped onto the other float and landed with an epic pose.

Misty, with her mouth open, looked at her fainted Goldeen then at Sentoki and Rambo.

"Skull Bash."

"Amazing. Best gym battle ever in Cerulean City. Your Rambo was so great, it was able to counter a One-Hit KO attack. I see why his name is Rambo. Take this Cascade Badge. I give this to you on behalf of Cerulean City and the employees of Cerulean Gym.;

"Thank you, Misty."

Sentoki switched places with Kimyona. He picked up his satchel, put the badge away, and walked up to the bleachers.

"That was perhaps one of the best battles I have ever seen in my life."

"Thanks Hikaru. Let's watch Kimyona now."
