"Jeongguk?"

"Yup that's my name," Jeongguk uttered under his breath, trying to roll away from under Taehyung as smoothly as possible, which, to be honest, looked more like a baby seal tumbling down a hill. "Well, I better get going, the party's wild in there, and I have friends waiting-"

Before Jeongguk could manage to get up, and get the hell away from the current situation he found himself in, Taehyung's hand grabbed his ankle, making him fall forward, almost landing on his face.

"Stay."

Jeongguk almost snorted at this, already on his way again, brushing his knees off. People surely become the biggest pranksters when they're drunk, Jeongguk thought to himself, and was about to leave, only to be stopped by Taehyung's lingering hand.

"Really, Taehyung, can't you just leave me alone. You already seem to be doing quite a good job–"

"Please, Jeongguk." Jeongguk looked over his shoulder to meet Taehyung's gaze, only to be unpleasantly surprised.

Taehyung was crying.

Shit, he thought, instantly sitting down next to Taehyung in a rather awkward manner, due to Taehyung's hand still being linked with Jeongguk's ankle. As soon as he sat down, Taehyung let go of his ankle, and folded his hand around his knees instead.

"Oh fu– Taehyung, please stop crying, oh my, what's wrong–" Jeongguk slurred his speech, clearly bothered by the older's muffled sniffles and occasional tears.

Suddenly the older was not clutching onto his legs anymore, and was rather sprawled onto the cold ground. He didn't seem to be crying, but the quiet sniffles told otherwise. Jeongguk didn't know what to do.

"Everything. I already told you."

"Taehyung, you're crying, can you tell me what's going on?" Jeongguk spoke in a soft tone.

"Shit, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to see me like this." Taehyung dried off his tears and snot in the same sleeve, sitting up and taking a deep breath before continuing. "Hell, I didn't mean for you to see me at all here. I don't even know what I'm saying anymore. Or like, I do, and I understand what is going on, but it all seems like a blur, where– where I don't have control–" Taehyung ranted. Jeongguk just sat looking at him, waiting for the older to go on.

"It's just. It's all a mess, Jeongguk, and I don't know what's going on. It's my second year of high school, yet I still feel like I haven't grasped the concept of anything yet. I just feel like a confused sheep walking around brainlessly. And everybody around me is fake. I don't have anybody to talk to... Not truly at least.

I don't even know why I'm telling you this. You should hate me for what I did. I mean, you're free to stand up and walk away right now." Taehyung wasn't looking at Jeongguk, but rather directly into the dark sky, and the many starts lighting it up, which is why he didn't see the small shake of Jeongguk's head.

"I could never do that." Jeongguk mumbled under his breath, before Taehyung continued.

"I don't know why I'm sad right now– no that's a lie, I do know. Fuck, I've had too much to drink. Sorry this doesn't make sense, Jeongguk. I just fucked up. Majorly. And I feel like the absolutely worst person in the entire world for leaving you like that with no explanation. I tried to write a message once or twice, but they never went through, and I didn't dare try to call you.

I honestly thought you blocked me, and I understand– I would have blocked me too too. Everything just went to shit after I left you for middle school. I really wish I could turn back time. I miss being me, and I miss running around the woods being free. I miss fishing and seeing how horrible you are at it." Jeongguk chuckled at this comment. He couldn't fish if his life depended on it.

"But most importantly, I miss you. Oh god, I said it. I miss you so much, Jeongguk. Fuck, I'm gonna hate myself in the morning, what have I done–" Taehyung was now nothing but a mumbling mess, and Jeongguk couldn't help but giggle quietly, his own nose sniffling a bit.

Taehyung had apologized, but instead of accepting the apology right away, Jeongguk let him have a taste of his own medicine. After not talking for more than one year, Taehyung should be able to survive without an answer for a few minutes.

"Taehyung." Jeongguk said calmly, and the older instantly stopped rambling, looking over at the younger boy, his big soft eyes clearly distraught. Jeongguk moved closer to him, and sighed, before grabbing Taehyung's hand, intertwining their fingers.

Taehyung looked up at him, clearly puzzled. His pupils were dilated from the alcohol, and a confused look was sprawled across his features. Jeongguk took a deep breath before moving closer to Taehyung, almost leaning against him. He squeezed the older's hand once, looking directly into his eyes.

"I just wish you would've said that earlier. That's all I wanted." Taehyung's confused look turned even more confused, and Jeongguk could see he was just about to go on another one of his rambling rampages. Taehyung looked at the ground, and opened his mouth to let out more apologies.

"Hey you." Jeongguk said, placing the hand that was not holding Taehyung's on the older's cheek, pushing Taehyung's face to face him. He smiled softly at him, and stoked his cheekbone with his thumb.

"What you did was not okay, but I forgive you, you big idiot." Jeongguk noticed that Taehyung was about to start crying again, probably due to both the alcohol and Jeongguk's words, and decided to calm Taehyung down the only way he knew would definitely work.

He leaned forwards, softly connecting their lips in a kiss.

Taehyung was shocked at first, just like he had been with their first kiss, but quickly relaxed into the tender touch of both Jeongguk's hands and lips.

There the two sat underneath the moonlight, hidden away from the rest of the partygoers by a few trees and bushes, holding onto each other like it was the only opportunity they ever got again.

Jeongguk disconnected their lips after few moments, still keeping their noses touching though. He looked up to see Taehyung staring directly into his eyes, the older's eyes reflecting the stars from the sky, and the feelings from Jeongguk.

Taehyung's hand found it's way to Jeongguk's cheek as well, and he caressed it softly, like Jeongguk was the most precious being in the entire world. Which was probably true for Taehyung, anyways.

"I missed you too, Tae." Jeongguk finally put it into words as well, and Taehyung moved to connect their lips again, before Jeongguk even had the chance to.

HOLY HECC WHAT JUST!! HAPPENED ? I don't even know, but TaeKook reunited (':

Okay, everything is pretty good now, but I just looked at the playlist for this book, and there are still 60 songs left, so we're very, very far from the ending. Whoopsies.

But yeah, this book has been blowing up recently, and I saw that it was #90 in fluff, #505 in bts and #984 in fanfiction, and I???? Thank you all, you're amazing.

To be honest, I'm so happy that our babies are together again. Now that they're together, what would you want to happen?

as always, please keep voting and commenting. I read all of your comments, and they put the biggest smile on my face. Thank you. <3
