Hey guys, long time no see!

Okay so first of all, welcome to this chapter! I've decided to move the A/N up to the beginning instead of at the end, I hope you don't mind too much (:

So, the LUFTA. I've graduated from my boarding school, and I'll be attending high school in like 6 weeks (yikes). But! It's my summer vacation, which means.. dun dun dun.. (hopefully) many, many updates! :-D

Anyway, enough talking, on with what you've all been waiting for. (And don't forget to vote and comment <3 <3 <3)

As the two boys left the canteen, scrambling into an empty hallway, Taehyung looked back at Jeongguk, before grabbing his hand, and leading him outside.

Taehyung led the two to a big tree at the outskirts of the school grounds. He sat down against the tree, and patted the ground in front of him, telling Jeongguk to sit down. The younger male did as he was told.

"So– you wanted to talk?" Jeongguk said. Taehyung nodded swiftly, and gulped once. The flirtatious atmosphere from earlier evaporated slightly, and was replaced by a heavy feeling. But that might've just been Jeongguk making things up. He managed to stop himself before his mind wandered off again.

"It's about– about the party." Taehyung said bluntly. Obviously, Jeongguk thought. What else would they have to talk about.

"The, erm, kiss.." Taehyung started. Jeongguk just stared at him blankly, eyebrows lifted. "Okay, I'm just going to come out and say it. I don't want anything to be awkward between us–"

"And you say this now, after ghosting me all those months back." Jeongguk interrupted. Taehyung's cheeks heated up, and his gaze shuffled away, clearly embarrassed.

"I– I'm so sorry about that, I already told you so, Guk."

Something inside of Jeongguk squeaked in contentment at the nickname being used by Taehyung in his sober state, but Jeongguk brushed it away.

"But I just don't want you to dislike me, or ignore me after I kissed you. I– I didn't mean for it to happen, it just happened, and now you probably hate me and–"

"Wow, wow, wow. Hold up. Who said that I would hate you for kissing me? Jesus Tae, if anything, I really,–" Jeongguk paused, words suddenly stuck in his throat. He cleared his throat, and felt his cheeks blossoming in red. "– I really enjoyed the kiss. Now, Tae, it might not have been on purpose, but do you regret it?"

Silence. Taehyung looked away from Jeongguk, and for a second, the younger was sure that Taehyung was going to look up at him, and tell him that this had all been a prank, before showing him his middle finger, and telling him that he was moving to Hawaii to marry the secret love of his life. Jeongguk blinked twice. What? Taehyung then looked up.

Jeongguk was just about to burst from laughter at the sight that met him, but decided not to, in order to spare the last of Taehyung's confidence. The older was completely flustered, even ears and part of the neck colored a pretty red tone.

"I–I could never regret kissing you, Gukkie."

Fuck looking cool and well kept together in front of your best friend crush, Jeongguk thought to himself, as he let the blush take over his features. He shuffled closer to Taehyung, and took a deep breath before grabbing the older's hands.

"Tae," he muttered, quietly, but loud enough to get a reaction out of Taehyung. The older looked up at him, and Jeongguk's mouth turned into a wide smile, pulling one out of Taehyung as well.

"I like you. As in like like you."

Taehyung gulped audibly, and squeezed Jeongguk's hands.

"I like like you as well, Guk." Taehyung confessed.

Jeongguk's hands then automatically moved to Taehyung's cheeks, and Taehyung moved into the touch, and connected their lips once again, this time lighter and softer than at the party.

Their lips moved together in sync, and Taehyung's hands slowly made their way onto Jeongguk's neck and waist, pulling the younger closer. Jeongguk deepened the kiss, and Taehyung kept pulling, and soon enough, the younger of the two was in the other's lap, arms around his neck, the two trying to pull each other impossibly closer.

As their lips disconnected, they just sat there, one in the other's lap, below the tree, looking each other in the eyes lovingly.

Taehyung moved his hand up and down Jeongguk's back soothingly. Jeongguk moved one of his hands to Taehyung's cheek, moving his thumb over his cheekbone in a circular motion. "So what does this mean for our friendship?"

Taehyung shrugged.

"Nothing. We're still best friends. Just best friends who kiss a little bit, and are allowed to take each other out on dates." Jeongguk chuckled at that.

"So nothing but best friends? Best friends with kissing benefits?"

"No, not that. Jeongguk Jeon, will you do me the favor of becoming my best friend boyfriend?" The younger smiled widely, and booped the other's nose, kissing it shortly efter.

"Of course."

After spending an unreasonable amount of time kissing beneath the tree, and accidentally skipping one period, the two showed up at the school again, shortly before the last period of the day.

They were both standing in the boys' restroom, fixing their disheveled hair, and putting on some lip balm to their kiss-swollen lips in order to make it look more natural. Jeongguk looked up at Taehyung, as he dapped some lip balm onto his lower lip.

"So how have you been getting along this past year? I never got to ask you."

"Badly. It's truly been unbearable without you."

Jeongguk frowned.

"I mean, you haven't told me why you suddenly left me all that time ago." Taehyung stiffed visibly, but only for a quick moment, as he continued styling his hair.

"Oh– I mean, it's pretty complicated. A very long story to be exact," Taehyung frowned as he told Jeongguk this. "But you shouldn't worry about that. The story is out of the picture." It's in Australia, to be exact, Taehyung thought to himself, keeping that last part out of his mouth.

"Oh, I see." Jeongguk muttered, frowning to himself. Taehyung slapped himself mentally.

"Listen, Gukkie. Please don't worry about that, I swear it won't happen again. I'm here for you." Taehyung walked up behind Jeongguk, and wrapped his arms around his waist, and moved his face towards his ear, lips grazing it.

"I'll take you out this weekend, promise?" He whispered. Jeongguk almost inhaled his lip-balm.

"O–Okay." Jeongguk muttered, and Taehyung kissed his cheek before walking out of the restroom.

Jeongguk waddled out of the room on his own, cheeks a tomato red shade as he went to retrieve his books.

After he had swapped books, and fanned his face a bit with his hand, he turned around to lock his locker, only to be met with a Kiana very few centimeters from his face. This managed to make Jeongguk so shocked that he both smacked headfirst into the locker door, and then banged his head on the top of the locker.

"That was impressive," Kiana laughed from the side. Jeongguk rubbed the back of his head as he shut the locker muttering a 'shut up', and then walked with Kiana to their next class.

"Now, the next class is just History, so you better tell me everything that you haven't told me yet, Jeongguk Jeon."

Jeongguk smiled smugly as he nodded.

"I don't think you're ready."
