"Wait, 'something else planned', what do you mean Tae?"

Taehyung smiled smugly at Jeongguk as he grabbed the younger's hand and led him off of the property. "I guess you have to see for yourself."

The two followed alongside the road for a few minutes, before Taehyung followed a path leading away from the main road. It was pretty dark, and Taehyung guided their way with the help of his phone's flashight.

"What are you even doing right now, Tae.." Jeongguk mumbled, but followed the older nevertheless.

"Do you trust me?"

Did he? "I do."

"Then you don't need to question this." Jeongguk didn't ask anymore questions, and soon they arrived at a clearing lit up by a large bonfire in the middle. Jeongguk looked around the small spot, and noticed that they were on a hill with a view of the moonlit sea.

Taehyung continued leading Jeongguk, and soon they both sat down close to the bonfire.

"What is all of this?"

The question went unanswered as Taehyung bowed down to grab something, and just looked at him as he handed Jeongguk a stick with a marshmallow on the tip.

"We're roasting marshmallows." Taehyung answered, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Jeongguk let out a hoarse laugh at this. Why the hell were they roasting marshmallows in Jamaica in the middle of the night?

"I– but why."

"Shh. I can't tell you yet. Just roast it." Jeongguk blinked twice at his boyfriend, not understanding how he managed to acquire a boy like that, before he went with it, and started roasting his marshmallow.

They sat in silence for a few minutes, just roasting marshmallows brown, before Taehyung put his stick down and turned to Jeongguk. The younger was in the midsts of eating a marshmallow and had managed to smear it all over his face.

What was supposed to be a sincere moment from Taehyung, turned into a hilarious situation instead, as the older couldn't help but laugh, his chuckles not calming down as Jeongguk tried smiling at him with his mouth stuffed to the brim with marshmallow.

"Taehyung it's been long enough, now tell me what's going on." Jeongguk muffled through the gooey mass in his mouth.

"What's the clock?"

"It's erh– 12.02."

"Happy birthday baby."

Taehyung pulled out a wrapped box and handed it to Jeongguk, the younger completely baffled by Taehyung. He wasn't even aware of the fact that it was already his birthday, and that the two already had been to Jamaica for two weeks.

"Taehyung–" Jeongguk began, not even knowing where he was going with it.

"Open it."
