It was the Monday after the party.

Jeongguk was well spent. He'd spent the entire weekend in a haze, often ending up daydreaming, whenever his mind decided to run off to Taehyung land. He didn't really mind it, though.

Yet the doubt remained. Although the two teens went home with numb lips, flushed cheeks and a faster pulse than what was considered healthy, there was no denying that Taehyung was drunk at the event.

As much as he didn't want to admit it, there was a slight possibility that Taehyung couldn't remember what happened, or simply regretted it. But Jeongguk tried to block those thoughts out of his head.

He hadn't gotten any opportunity to talk to Taehyung during the weekend, and had to wait for Monday to arrive.

And so here he was, backpack swung over one shoulder, and nerves aching as he stepped into the school building. He went down the hallway to his locker, keeping an eye out for the older boy. But even as he got to his locker, he didn't spot him once. Oh well, he's probably somewhere else, Jeongguk thought.

He grabbed his books, and closed the locker, only to be greeted by Kiana standing behind the locker, giving him a huge scare as he slammed it shut.

"Jesus Kiana, a warning would be nice?" Jeongguk said, clutching his chest with his free hand. Kiana smacked his shoulder, and replied.

"Where did you head off to Friday? I honestly thought you got your hands on some of the alcohol and managed to waddle into the lake. A text would be reassuring next time, thank you very much." She scolded. Jeongguk gulped inaudibly. She did have a point. She took a deep breath, and looked at Jeongguk again.

"Okay, okay, I'm not angry. Just a little worried. Don't scare me like that next time." Jeongguk nodded at her and mumbled an 'okay' as a reply. "Now, how did the rest of the party go?"

Jeongguk's cheeks instantly blushed, betraying him. Kiana's eyes widened.

"Jeongguk Jeon, what haven't you told me?" She asked cheekily.

Jeongguk managed to stutter some incoherent words, somewhere along the line telling her that he had to attend class. Kiana's eyes just followed him as he rushed down the hallway, and around a corner.

Jeongguk leaned against a wall to catch his breath as he knew he was out of her sight. He knew she wouldn't follow him, but an entire interrogation would follow during lunch-break. This, at least, gave him some time to come up with an excuse believable enough for him to use on her.

As he continued catching his breath, it steadying with every intake of air, he noticed some of Taehyung's friends at the opposite side of the hallway. He usually wouldn't approach any of the older's friends, but he knew one of these sophomores from PE, and she was one of the nicer people Taehyung hung out with. He could approach them. Of course he could.

Except he couldn't. All he could think about, was how he was definitely going to trip on his face whilst approaching, making him accidentally kick a can on the ground, which would hit a junior in the face, making said student stumble back into another junior, who would fall into the fire alarm, making all students go to the grass field, and it would all be his fault.

What a dumb unlikely scenario. Somebody should write a story about it, though, Jeongguk thought.

"Hi, hello," He said to the older students. They looked at him, and smiled at him, two of them greeting him back.

"Could you maybe tell me where Taehyung is?"

"Taehyung? Well.. I don't think I would be able to answer that, since I haven't really seen him today–" the blonde girl said. "Kyle, you wouldn't happen to know where Tae is, no?"

"Tae? I don't think he's at school today. Probably skipped or something, I don't know." He shrugged. Jeongguk swallowed his own spit, and felt his pulse rising slowly. Why would he skip school today?

Why would he skip school today? Jeongguk hadn't seen him, and his friend said he skipped. He wasn't here. Why would he skip school? Jeongguk thanked the sophomores quietly, and started walking towards his class.

Jeongguk had messed up his chances of ever talking to Taehyung again. It was definitely his fault the older had skipped. He should have never kissed him back at the party. Why did he kiss Taehyung back.

Where is Taehyung?

Anxious thoughts took over Jeongguk's head, and sucked the last few drops of hope out of his consciousness, and by lunch, he already felt like he had gone through an entire life and died, twice.

Kiana looked at him worriedly. She was finishing her lunch, and he had barely even touched his.

"Jeongguk, aren't you gonna eat th–"

Darkness covered his sight, and Jeongguk thought this is it. The grim reaper has come to collect my soul, oh lord i hereby ascend to your heavenly

"Guess who." A smooth, deep, velvety voice flushed through his ears, around his brain, and landed right in his heart. It was like something inside of him decided that the worries from the day were nowhere to be found.

"Taehyung." Jeongguk gasped.

The older turned Jeongguk around, and greeted him with huge smile. Not a fake smile, like he had seen plastered on Taehyung so many times recently, but a true, heartfelt smile. Jeongguk didn't hesitate to launch himself into the older's arms.

As the two hugged, they somehow managed to turn around 180 degrees, and suddenly Jeongguk was facing an extremely confused Kiana. Suddenly she mouthed something, furrowing her brows.

What the fuck?

I'll explain later. He mouthed back.

He looked up at Taehyung, who still smiled at him, the smile a more subtle, slightly flirty one now.

"Hey, I wanted to talk to you earlier, but I had a doctors appointment this morning." Taehyung explained. So that's why. His mind instantly calmed down.

"Then let's go talk now." Jeongguk answered, smiling at the older.

Jeongguk then managed to look back at Kiana, only to see her mouthing one last sentence.

You better.

Hi guys! Surprise, surprise, I updated (:

You have no idea how much I've missed you these past days! Exams are a living hell, but luckily I only have my oral English exam left (this Friday), and then it's the outro-week for my boarding school (cue the sad aww's).

Also, when the hell did this book reach 41k reads? My mind is bamboozled, and I am amazed. One hundred million times thanks!

Question(s)! Which ships in BTS do you like? Would you be open to read a fic with a ship you aren't really into/ don't know that well? Any rare-pair ships that you absolutely adore? This is all just for research (^;
