Sam leaves the club, head bowed with his hands stuck in his pockets looking self concious. It's been a hell of a day, what with the Bris and now the not-going-home-with-anyone as per usual. Sometime he wonders why he even bothers to get dressed up and go out when his evenings constantly end like this. He should just stay home, at least he's happy in his own company, and it would save him from the constant rejection he feels.
"Didn't want to dance?" a voice behind him asks. It's a nice voice, pleasant with a warm ring to it.
Sam trudges on for a few steps before realising that whoever was speaking is now following behind him. Turning, he sees Jake smiling, his hands also in his pockets.
"Oh! I'm not much of a dancer," he offers by way of an explanation.
"You taking off?"
"Yeah. You know sometimes it gets a little too, er..."
"Intense?"
Grateful that he seems to understand, Sam nods. "Intense, that's a good word."
"I know what you mean. Sometimes it gets a little too intense in there for me too. You going home?" Jake calls as Sam moves off again. "You want some company?"
"You know it's a little late..." Sam stops, turning around again, seeing Jake's eager face. What he hell is he doing? "Sure..." he says, changing his mind.
"Are you sure?" Jake asks, completely unsure of how the conversation's going.
"I'm sure, if you're sure?"
"I'm sure."
"Well then." Sam laughs as Jake grins, not the best start to the evening but at least the ice is now broken.

Corey's also scanning the club, looking in vain for Hatsou, that is until he spots him on one of the balcony's having his neck kissed by some old bloke in a suit.
"What is the meaning of this?" he demands, his voice verging on shrill as he arrives in front of them a little breathless.
"Okane, okane," Haksou tells him holding up a hundred dollar bill. He kisses the note before turning to kiss the guy on the mouth.

"Hello?" A sleepy Maddie picks up the phone on her side of the bed, turning the light on as she does.
"How do you say shitty little cocksucker in Japanese?" Corey yells down the phone.
"Do you know what time it is?" she asks disbelievingly before putting the phone back down with a huff.
"Who was that?" Geordie asks, settling Gus down in his cot and pulling her camisole top back on.
"Corey. I think he just found out what okane means. I'm sorry for him disturbing you."
"It's okay, I was up anyway feeding Gus."
"I've been thinking about all the terrible things I said..." Maddie says, grimacing at their conversation from earlier.
"No, I should have stood up to him, I should have."
"I guess it's practical, this way Gus is at least provided for."
"Look it doesn't matter who's right, we can't let Michael come between us."
"And you know he would..." Maddie points out.
"Even if he is the father, we're still the parents. Gus belongs to us. That's why we had him."
"You had him. Aside from 'push' and 'breathe' I really didn't have much to do with it." Maddie counters.
