Sparking shimmering silver glitter leaves fall from Arq's ceiling as Michael and Luke dance together. Like yin and yang they're dressed opposite to each other, Michael in his ever present black - jeans, boots and a singlet that moulds to his sweat sheened skin and Luke in a white and light grey top that makes him look angelic with his blonde hair, pale pink lips and blue eyes, the falling leaves accentuating the light that shines out from him.
Michael dances closely with Luke, his appreciative eyes never leaving his face or frame. Their friends are close by too; Corey, as usual dancing with his arms in the air, Calum and Sam grinning at each other as they all move to the music.
A topless guy that none of them have seen before makes a move on Calum, going straight up to him and, with his hand on the small of his back, twirls him around a couple of times so that they end up near the bar.
"Hello," the guy says, leaning in a little as he grins at Calum who's impressed by the moves he's just made to get him here, "Excuse me do you happen to be a ruckman?!" Calum Adam curiously.
"No, why?"
"You intercepted me like a football!"
"When I see what I want I grab it and I run with it!"
Calum's eyebrows shoot into the air, "Oh and you want me?!"
"There's no-one else in here as beautiful. Come on, let's go into the back room and exchange numbers!"
Calum's flattered beyond belief, this never happens to him. Michael yes, Luke yes, Corey yes on more than the odd occasion, but not him. Never him.
"I can't! I'm in a relationship!" he tells the guy, a little reluctantly since this is the first time someone's been so blatantly forward about wanting him.
"I am too. So?"
"So, we don't fool around."
"How long have you two been together?"
Calum grins, "Almost five months."
The guy nods knowingly, "Wait a few more months then call me," and he puts a card into Calum's white jeans pocket with his number on.

Luke bounds up the stairs from the men's room with Michael quickly following at his heels. He recoils from a guy who lurches towards him, looking as if he's just about to grope him. Michael quickly puts himself between the gropey guy and Luke and, holding Luke by the waist, smoothly moves him out of the guy's grasp. They nearly bump into a young couple of gays kissing the shit out of each other on the edge of the dance floor.
Luke looks back, grimacing to himself, "Making out on the dance floor, did you ever see anything so juvenile?"
Michael grabs Luke around the waist once again pulling him towards him playfully. "Oh you're so mature now that you're a college man!" he grins, running his thumb over Luke's cheek, marvelling at the bone structure underneath.
Calum turns from explaining to Sam what the guy had said to him, "Who's a college man?!" he asks with some surprise.
"Little Luke's been accepted to ANU..." Michael says it mockingly to cover up how proud he is of him.
"Ooooh the top university in the country?! Mumsy and Dadsy must be soooo proud!" Calum tootles.
"I decided not to go..."
Michael blinks in surprise, "Since when?!"
"Since I decided I could never do politics and law! I decided I want to go to UNSW Art & Design."
