Maddie takes a deep breath as she looks at the front of the house she and Geordie shared, before walking up the four steps to the front door and ringing the bell. She's full of trepidation as to how to approach the whole getting-back-together thing with Geords and what she should say; would they have a conversation in the kitchen or would it be more formal, say, sitting in the lounge? Would Geordie offer her a drink first or want to know why she's suddenly turned up at her doorstep wanting to talk?

"Geords..." Maddie almost sighs her name as soon as the door opens and the soft honey coloured hair of her ex partner comes into view.

"Madds?" Geordie asks, all too obviously taken aback by her arrival.

"I, er, came to see Gus," Maddie tells her, all tongue tied as she melts inside seeing how well Geordie is and... "Oh Geords I've missed you so much," She blurts out, wanting her to know how desperate she is to come back.

"I've waited so long to hear you say that..."

"I'm sorry baby," Maddie steps into the hall and takes Geordie in her arms. "I'm so sorry for everything."

"Me too!"

"It doesn't matter who's fault it was, all that matters is this..." Maddie tells her, kissing Geordie on the lips.

"Oui?"

Maddie blinks, the picture she has of her's and Geordie's reconciliation sliding quickly out of her head as soon as a unknown dark haired tall man opens the door and looks at her.

"Oui?" He repeats, staring at the woman on the doorstep who's letting all the cold air in.

"Wee?" Maddie asks, a little stunned to find a strange man that she's never met opening her old front door.

"Non, oui, as in is there something you would like?" the man asks in a strong French accent.

"Er, yes! I'd like to see Geordie."

"Ah, Geordie is not here right now, she is teaching a class."

"And who are you?" Maddie asks, confused and certainly a little annoyed that this man, whoever he is, is blocking her way.

"Henri, and you are?"

"Maddie," Maddie says strongly, surely Geordie wouldn't have given instructions to not let her in to the house?

Henri blinks and then a look of understanding crosses his face. "Ah Maddie, the ex girlfriend!"

"You know who I am?"

"Oui, you're the one who had the affair. Of course in France this would be meaningless..."

"I can't believe she told you that!" Maddie stands, stunned that Geordie would just disclose that information to anyone.

"Geordie and I are very, um, intimate."

"I got it. Look, I stopped by to see my son," Maddie tells him, all business like and not at all betraying how she's feeling on the inside.

"Mmmmm, I'm afraid that is not possible. It is his feeding time."

"Well I can do that," Maddie takes a step inside until Henri puts a hand on her shoulder and stops her on the step.

"No, no, no, non. I will do it. He gets very, what do you call it? Finicky."

"Okay, who the fuck are you anyway and why the hell hasn't Geordie ever told me about you?" Maddie demands.

"Perhaps she has decided, since you're no longer living together, not to share with you all the details of her life. This is normal. I'm on my way mon petit!" He calls to a crying Gus before turning back to an irate Maddie. "So I will tell her that you came."
