"Calum I have a fantasy..." Stephen says as they come out of the diner together where they've been having brunch. He slips an arm around Calum's shoulders as soon as they're through the door, drawing him close as they start walking.
"Oh yeah?" Calum grins.
"We're lying in bed and the sun's just coming through the window, and in the distance I hear the sound of someone singing very quietly because they don't want to wake me up."
"Well that's considerate I think."
"And as I look across the room I see through the frosted glass of the shower the shape of the guy that I love."
"Am I conditioning my hair at the time?!"
"I'm being serious!" Stephen says exasperatedly but grins all the same. It's difficult not to smile back when Calum's flashing that beaming smile of his.
"I know! I'm sorry, it sounds nice."
"It is nice! It can be nice! It will be nice when you move in with me!"
"Hey look at that! X-Men's out on DVD!" Calum weaves himself out from Stephen's arm, wandering over to look in the shop window.
Stephen sighs, a great big dramatic sigh, as Calum turns to him with a cheesy grin knowing how much he's winding him up.
"You haven't given me an answer yet," Stephen reminds Calum, going to him and drawing him close under his arm again as they set off down the street once more.
"I've been thinking about it..." Calum says, possibly serious for the first time that morning.
"And?"
"It's a big step!"
"Yes it's a big step!" Stephen agrees. "Of course it's a big step and I don't want to put pressure on you but I believe that when somebody knows what they want they've got to go after it!"
He lowers his voice, hugging Calum a little bit closer, laying his hand on Cal's chest as he explains, "I want you to be coming out of that shower and I want to know that you're not going to run out. Wouldn't you like that too?"
Calum's mouth twitches, it's very flattering to have a man like Stephen come after him like this. It's what he's been dreaming about for years; that he'd have a boyfriend, a proper boyfriend, one that completely loves him and is mad about him. But still, it's a big step.
"Well sure!" Calum agrees.
"So when do I get an answer?"
"Soon. I promise! Are we still on for brunch tomorrow?"
"I can hardly wait," Stephen smiles down at Calum, he really is adorable, taking his head in both hands and kisses him fully and warmly on the lips.
"Stephen?" Calum calls as Stephen walks to his car.
"Yeah?"
"Nobody's ever put me in a fantasy before," He tells him, still smiling widely after that kiss.
"That you know about..." Stephen says, winking before climbing in.

"Do you know he's a stay at home dad? I'd like to stay at home," Decides Geordie as she's gardening, watching a couple walk past who live down their road.
"What about your job?" Asks Maddie, bouncing Gus on her hip.
"Nobody ever looked back on their life and said 'Gee I wish I hadn't taken a year off to be with my baby'" Geordie points out.
"I thought we had a plan, a good one! After your maternity leave we can get a nanny..."
"I know, I know. But I didn't think I'd be in love like this!" Geordie says, smiling at Gus and stroking his soft cheek. He looks adorable in his little beanie hat.
