"Have I told you lately how hot you look?" Stephen says as he sits next to Calum at the Diner's counter waiting for their orders.
Calum grins, "Actually you have!" He turns to his boyfriend with his head cocked to one side flirtatiously, "But it always bears repeating!"
"You are so hot!" Stephen says obligingly, smiling as he brings his face closer to Calum's.
"Howdy boys!" Michael says right behind them as they move in for a kiss. Stephen sits up quickly, his back stiffening instantly.
"What? I don't mean to interrupt!" Michael asks innocently.
"Of course you do," Stephen mutters under his breath, looking straight ahead.
"But do you mind if I join you?!" Michael asks, moving Calum along onto the next seat and plonking himself right in between them.
"Soda water, lemon, no ice," He says to the waitress as he takes his jacket off. "You know, after any strenuous physical exertion what you need is plenty of fluids," he continues, turning to Stephen.
"Thanks for the health tip."
"Any time," Michael looks at Calum to his left and then turns to Stephen again. "Speaking of exertion, Calum tells me you two had quite a night last night!"
"Jesus Michael!" Calum blushes.
"Matter of fact we did!" Stephen says, smiling at Calum.
"So did I!" Michael laughs. He's looking particularly hot after his gym session with colour in his cheeks and a simple yet classic outfit on of black jeans and a figure hugging and obviously expensive thin grey long sleeve jumper.
"Well, I don't think Stephen wants to hear about your trip to the baths last night," Calum interjects.
"You know you're right, Stephen probably wouldn't approve..." Michael agrees. A nerve pulses in Stephen's jaw. "So what have you been up to lately Doc?" Michael asks, turning to him with a cocked eyebrow.
"Not much, the usual."
Michael hums, turning from Stephen to look at Calum again before turning back to Stephen, not letting him off the hook for a moment. "Calum tells me you had dinner with some client last night?"
"That's right," Stephen says softly after taking a look at Calum's interested face.
"Talk about boring. Although I did have this one client...did Calum tell you this story?..Meat and potatoes, wife and kids...turns out he was gay. And not only was he gay he wanted to fuck me..." Michael smiles evilly.
"Imagine that," Stephen says a little sarcastically, bile rising to the back of his throat as he waits for Michael to strike.
"Turns out there's a lot of duplicitous people in the world," Michael adds.
Calum starts happily tucking into his burger as Michael picks up the drink he ordered and he sucks on the straw, looking innocently to his right, watching Stephen out of the corner of his eye.

"You know I always thought I'd end up in somewhere that's warm all year round, like Byron or Noosa. One of those picture postcard places. Business would be good there too. But I'm still here..." Stephen says shivering as Michael joins him on the pavement outside the Diner a little later.
"Well, maybe you're deceiving yourself thinking you want something you really don't."
Stephen turns to Micheal, finally looking him straight in the eye, "I want Calum. I love Calum. What you saw last night has nothing to do with that."
