"At Seed Dynamic in Melbourne where I work we have this saying, 'the only thing better than great sex is a great ad campaign!' So when I was asked to come to Sydney to choose the Ad Person of the Year, what I was looking for was someone who could give me great ad! Someone who's work would make me stand up and take notice."

Michael calmly sips his red wine, his eyes focused as he ignores Maggie's excited squeaks next to him, and listens carefully to the current speaker on the podium at the Advertising Awards Ceremony. This is the award he's waited for all evening. The penultimate award to be given and the one that Michael's personally been coveting for years.

Also could the guy be any more obvious with the gay innuendos?

"Well, after reviewing this year's entries I believe we've found him. This years award for Sydney's Ad Person of the Year goes to..." The speaker picks up a silver embossed envelope and opens it, looking around the room for effect before he announces the winner.

"Michael Clifford!"

Maggie, seated next to him, starts clapping almost before his name is finished and the whole table of Michael's colleagues rises as one to celebrate the fortune of one of their own.

"Go get it tiger!" Maggie whispers to him as he stands, "The award I mean!"

She grins at him, knowing full well that Michael must have picked up on the gay cues in the guy's speech if she's noticed them.

A little later he proves her right as Michael fucks the guy up on the balcony that leads around the upper floors of the museum where the awards were being held, as the party carries on beneath them. Maggie waits patiently at the bottom of the spiral staircase waiting to give her boss the engraved award he won and that he left on their table, before she heads to the dance floor with all the other P.A's.

"I was standing there with my dick out as the guy at the next urinal started cruising me..." Dave says, in a very monotonous voice. He still can't believe that he got arrested a few nights ago and that now he's having to go to court. He thinks he may still be in a little bit of shock.

"Did you cruise him back?" Maddie asks, writing furiously on her yellow legal pad.

Luke and Joy look from Maddie to Dave like they're at a tennis match. This is how it's been for a full hour now and everyone's exhausted.

"No."

"So you did nothing to make him think you were looking for sex?"

"I just wanted to take a piss!"

"The same thing happened to a guy from my gym..." Calum says, as he walks into Joy's living area  with cups of tea for everyone. "...he was out walking his dog, gets talking to some guy who invites him back to his place. Next thing you know he's busted."

Luke's aghast, "They can really do that?"

"They can do whatever the hell they want," sighs Maddie, still writing notes.

"Fuck that! You'd better fight it!" Luke tells Dave, nodding to him.

"Hey! You don't put any ideas into his head!" Joy tells him firmly from her seat next to Maddie.

Luke turns to her, "But you wanted me to fight for a gay straight alliance at school?"

"This is different!" she insists, holding her hand up. "You're eighteen and you're healthy. What are our other options?"

"Plead guilty." Maddie only offers that one option. Everyone in the room looks at each other.

"Would he have to go to prison?" Calum asks the question that everyone's thinking.
