"Hey sleepy head!" Calum greets Stephen as he arrives downstairs the next morning.
"What are you doing up so early?" Asks Stephen, looking around, eyes widening as he does so and wondering if he's still dreaming as he half listens to Calum.
Calum beams at him, his entire face lighting up, "I couldn't wait to unpack my stuff! So...what do you think?!"
What does Stephen think? He looks around trying to decide what to say that isn't along the lines of 'WHAT THE FUCK?!' There's stuff everywhere. On every surface, on every wall, and there's a life size superhero flying on the wall over the fireplace...
"It's...er...it's great!" He chokes out. "I...er...especially like the putting of...what's his name?"
"Captain Astro," Calum says patiently. Stephen knows that his favourite superhero. He was at his party last week for goodness sake! And he can't remember his name? "Yeah, I wasn't sure how you were going to feel about that!"
"No, it adds a real whimsical touch," Stephen says, looking away quickly when he realises that Captain Astro's crotch is at his exact eye height, as Calum puts three more robots out on the display shelves to add to the goodness knows how many are there already.
"I'm not sure where to put all my toy robots..." He muses as he gets yet another one out from a box and moves a few around.
"Well, I'm sure you'll find the perfect place," Stephen says, a little quietly, not recognising his own house. "Now come on, let's go back to bed!"
"Bed? Some of us have to work!"
"It's Saturday..."
"Kmart never closes!"
"I was hoping we could just kick back and watch the game?!" Stephen cajoles.
"Well, I've never been into watching the game...or Saturdays..."
"You have something against Saturdays?!" Stephen's mock horrified, trying to lighten the mood.
"Well, that was the day when all the kids would do something with their dads and I didn't have one so I kind of dreaded Saturdays..." Calum picks up a remote control and starts making the robot's arms move as Stephen's heart cracks a little for him.
"Well..." He says lovingly, needing to cheer Calum up, "I can promise you only happy Saturdays from now on."

Maddie and Geordie studiously avoid each other as they clean the house together whilst Gus takes his afternoon nap. Ever since their argument they've been negotiating around each other, Maddie trying to bring the subject up, Geordie trying to brush it away. So when the front door bell goes, Maddie's quite glad to turn the vacuum cleaner off and go answer it. That is, until she opens the door...
"Meet my latest trick," Michael jokes as he holds out a teddy bear dressed in leather.
"I didn't know you were into bears. I thought you preferred the young, hairless, not admitted without a parent or guardian type," Maddie smiles thinly.
"Where's my son?" Michael asks in a growly voice behind the bear, making it's arm wave.
"Our son..." Corrects Maddie, "...Is taking a nap."
"Well, I thought I'd drop by for dinner." Michael says, walking in only to lie himself down on the freshly plumped cushions of the sofa.
"It's two o'clock in the afternoon!" Maddie objects as she shuts the door and follows him in.
"Then I'll just hang out!
"Hang out?! Since when did you just hang out?" Geordie asks.
"Since Calum's no longer in the picture," Maddie says slowly, realising that Michael may be actually serious about hanging out.
