Annabeth's POV

It was a bit painful to see Percy like that. Judging from the current circumstances, I was probably part of, if not was, the problem.

"Hey."

Simple words that haven't been said in a while. I crashed into his chest, clinging on to him as a waterfall of tears streamed down my face. I wasn't sure what had caused the wave of emotions that had overcome me, but once it crashed down, it wouldn't be subsiding for a while. I felt everything that I hadn't felt in a long time. Loathing towards Luke, pain from avoiding friends, pain from leaving Percy. I blubbered non corresponding words that probably included an apology somewhere. I was breaking down, the most vulnerable I've been for a while, which is saying a lot.

Percy, although startled, wrapped his own arms around me and leaned down, whispering softly.

"Don't worry, I've got you."
