Annabeth's POV
Would Percy notice that I was with one of his friends? Does he even remember me?
The thoughts clouded my mind as I walked along side the girl. She gave a little shout before I felt a sharp pain on my forehead and I stumbled back.
"Poles are tricky. Gotta watch where you're going." She winked.
I smiled. Another fake? Why am I smiling when it's not real?
"Oh by the way, I just realized I never introduced myself. I'm Piper." She reached her hand out and I took it.
"Annabeth."
"Ok, now that we've formally met, let's go!" She started running, dragging me along.
I sighed and followed, smiling.
It's real this time.
