Present DayQing's POV
I never thought that in my age; I would actually feel this nervous, while facing people.
I came with Dayu to the cafe and we arrived at a quarter past eleven a.m. When we arrived; there were several costumers inside.
Dayu took really good care not to let me take a hold of his hand as we walked in even though I tried reaching out for him. He dodged me while giving me a disapproving look of disbelief.
Still, he couldn't stop me from walking closely beside him. The only way he could do so, was to push me away. And to push me away he needed to use his hands. And if he showed me his hands; then I'd definitely take it and keep it in mine. Dayu knew that. Hence, he had no choice but to tolerate me sticking closely to his side. We're so close, I could smell his scent. His sweet lavender scent.
His staffs froze when they saw me. I bet they knew who I was; well, my picture is on the 14 feet high and 48 feet wide billboard just in front of the block; as we're going to build our hotel here.
Dayu exchanged some words of greetings with them; though they were clearly keeping themselves in check because of my presence. They're shocked and confused.
"Let's have lunch together...Just close the cafe for an hour or two.." Dayu said, as he glanced at me sideways, before giving his staffs an apologetic smile.
Dayu hadn't even introduce me yet, and I was only able to give his staffs a smile and a bow, greeting them with 'hello' and 'good morning'.
I followed Dayu to a room attached to the kitchen. It was a staffs lounge area; the room was equipped with some couch seatings with a satellite TV, staffs lockers, a bathroom and a toilet. There was even a small fridge, and a small kitchen.
It was warm and comfortable. Homely. The room led to another room which I guessed would be Dayu's office.
Dayu sat down on one of the single seating couches. And I sighed as I had to settle for the couch next to him. We are waiting for his staffs. His family.
"You have such a nice café..." I spoke, to break the silence which had been looming over us since we came to the room.
"Thank you." Dayu replied, politely, not looking at me.
"I never thought that you'd be opening a cafe instead of a tech-gadget shop..." I had been looking for a tech based shop ever since Dayu disappeared; thinking that Dayu would be opening that kind of shop.
But, again. I was wrong. He didn't open a tech-based shop. He opened a café. That's why he never came up in my radar.
"You really tried your best, not to be discovered by me, huh..?" I commented, looking at Dayu. And I saw his cheeks turning red, telling me that I was right. Dayu had successfully hid himself from me for three years.
