Dayu's POV
This felt like deja vu. It was not comfortable the first time around. It's so much more uncomfortable this second time as well.
I think it's worse this time because I didn't expect this to happen. Hence, I wasn't ready at all to this person here today. The first meeting I had with this person, I was able to ready myself. It was a meeting we had agreed upon.
This meeting today, was accidental. I never thought that I would bump into Lin Min Mei of all people, today.
She froze when she saw me. I saw her face drained up off its colour as she paled. She was pushing a baby trolley; with a beautiful baby sleeping in it. From the look of it, the baby looked no more than two.
I was not sure what I should do, because I didn't know how she would react. Would she act like she didn't see me and ignore me? Would she come over and talk to me? I don't know.
She looked as if she was about to come towards me, when she stopped looking over my shoulders. Her eyes grew big and her mouth dropped open.
I knew why.
"Hey, love..Wait a bit.." I heard Qing's voice behind me, and a moment later, I felt him taking hold of my hand. I left him at the counter while he was paying for the clothes he bought for us. I was waiting for him outside if the boutique, and that's when I saw Lin Min Mei, coming out from the shop in front of me.
"Uhmm.." I actually didn't know what I was feeling at the moment because honestly, from Lin Min Mei's expression; I knew she was shocked and she was hurt by what she saw. That woman still have feelings for Qing.
"What's wrong?" Qing noticed that I was clearly acting strange. So, he peeked into my face, frowning with concern, "are you alright love?"
I bit my lip as I looked at him and then looked back at Lin Min Mei. I couldn't even speak at the moment.
He followed my line of view and he also froze, "Min Mei?" Almost immediately Qing's hold on my hand tightened.
The woman threw a teary and hurt eyes at Qing, then she looked at me and I gasped. It was full of disdain. I had seen that same look on her face before. There's no doubt about it. She still loves Qing. She still wants to be with him. And I'm in the way.
She gripped the trolley and pushed it away.
"Dayu ah..!" Qing stepped in front of me, and I was forced to face him, "she means nothing to me now..Don't get any false ideas..Don't entertain any doubts about my feelings for you.."
"Don't you think, that your words are far too strong Qing?" I whispered, "she means nothing to you? You should not say that about the woman who was the love of your life.." in my ears, Qing was trying too hard. Why? Does he still have feelings for Lin Min Mei after all?
