"Who were you talking to?" Wang ManHo asked, his wife, Wang Lin, who had just finished talking with somebody on the phone and she sounded and looked so pleased and happy.
"Our son in law..." she answered, smiling sheepishly, her face was rosy with pleased expression.
"What..?" Wang ManHo put down the newspaper which he would read every morning over breakfast with his wife, "Dayu..?" He looked at his wife, questioningly.
"Who else?" Wang Lin raised an eyebrow, "he's the only one our son wants..."
Wang ManHo, blinked as he faced his wife, "how come you called him and I didn't know?" He did saw his wife calling someone, and then she went on talking so familiarly with the person. He didn't really pay attention to her, because he thought that his wife was just talking to her friends, judging from the was she laughed and smiled and talked.
"What..? Are you jealous..?" Wang Lin teased.
"Shouldn't the father in law talked with the son in law as well..?" Wang ManHo said, feeling a little left out, "how could you cut the call, before I talked to him..?"
Wang Lin pretended to be innocent, "you're having your daily, morning news reading...How could I disturb you....?"
Wang ManHo almost huffed. He and his wife had been having conversation with Dayu, Qing's beloved person, through the phone several times since Qing brought him home to meet them . His wife exchanged numbers with him at that time.
As Wang ManHo and his wife were having divided thoughts of whether to call or not, not quiet having the confidence to do so; several weeks after, Dayu called them.
The young man called, in that very charming voice of his, and gently asked them how they're doing. It was a greeting call. The call was quiet and unexpected, but delightful surprise. Dayu gave them the same ease, the same genuinely pleasant feelings, that they felt when they met him several weeks before.
There was no awkwardness and their conversation, though, they were just trivial matters, was honest and calming. They enjoyed the call, so much so that they almost didn't want to end it.
After the first call, Wang ManHo and Wang Lin took only several days, before they picked up the phone and called Dayu. They actually wanted to call the very next day after the first call but they thought that it was too soon. Hence they waited another day before doing so.
He and wife took turns talking to Dayu. And like the first call, their conversation revolved around normal everyday stuff but they somehow sounded interesting when they talked about it with Dayu.
It was as if, they'd known each other for years; even though they had just been introduced to each other several weeks prior.
Wang ManHo had always been a good judge of people when it came to their characters, that's why he had so many success in his business ventures. And he really liked Dayu. The man had an exceptional quality as a person; Independent, strong-willed, clearly honest to the bones and he's naturally nice and gentle to people. He really really was glad that his son found Dayu and that they're now together.
