Ann glanced at her watch and fumed, "five more minutes..!" She muttered, "where the hell are those two idiots?"
"Honey...Don't stress yourself too much..." Dr Bao put his arm around his wife's shoulders, trying to calm her down, "they'll be here..." he said. He met Qing's parents eyes, and all of them prayed that Qing and Dayu would arrive soon.
Ann's a reckon to fear, when she gets angry. Especially now that she's heavily pregnant. Those two guys would know better than to get on her nerves.
His wife, Ann, was the person who was most excited when Qing and Dayu told the family of their plan. Ann really thought that the pair would opt for a bigger and grander ceremony this time around. Though, it wasn't actually that surprising when the couple announced that they just wanted to do it as simple as possible; exchanging their vows in front of a minister and just sign the wedding certificate at the Municipal Council Head Office.
Qing's partner; Feng JianYu was not really fond of doing something 'grand' and he's also not into the medias. He's a low-key person, warm and approachable in real life but he would shy away when he's in the lime light.
And, Ann's cousin, Wang Qing would do everything he could to make his partner happy.
Dr Bao could understand Qing's thoughts; that he would do just about anything for the person he loved; because Dr Bao himself, is like that. He would do anything for Ann as well. That's how a man in love is.
Ann understood it too; because she didn't press Qing about it, knowing that Qing's not doing it for himself. Qing was doing it for Dayu. Dr Bao suppressed a smile, as he thought just how similar the two cousins were. If it's up to them; they'd probably held a seven days seven nights wedding celebration for Dayu. But; alas, that's not what Dayu wants nor need.
Hence, Ann rented one of the District Municipal Council's Hall, to held Qing and Dayu's reception. It was a surprise for the couple of course. It's a private reception party with almost the same guests as Qing and Dayu's first ceremony invited; five years ago.
No medias or anything like that; just a simple party. Ann just couldn't let Qing and Dayu marry; especially when this time they're doing it in accordance with the law; without, throwing at least a small reception party for them; enough to give the opportunity for their family and close friends to give the couple a toast, and wish them more luck as a 'legally' wedded couple.
Who would have thought that, Qing and Dayu would be late for their own wedding ceremony!?!
"I'm sure it's Qing..!" Ann mumbled, fuming.
"Honey...Please...It's not good for you or the baby...getting worked up like this.." Dr Bao pleaded for Ann's patience, "they'll be here in a minute...I know it.."
