Sweet Tooth Café 1.0 Imperial Hotel, Shijiazhuang
"Good morning, Aunt Yin!" Siew Li smiled broadly at her Café manager, who had just walked in. She and Ah To were the ones who were in charge with the cafe opening, so they came in the earliest. They would set the up the café as before everyone else came.
"Good morning..!" Aunt Huiyin smiled back.
"Good morning, Uncle Tsang!" Siew Li greeted the café's former head baker who walked in after his wife.
"Good morning..!" Uncle Tsang replied, smiling at the cheerful head waitress.
It had been six years that the café was relocated in The imperial Hotel, and though it still bear the name ; it's far from being the humble small café, it was before the move.
Sweet Tooth Café is now a two level, full scale Café, with authentic patented food and drinks. It had opened three branches outside of Shijiazhuang; one in Beijing and Tianjin and another one in Shanghai; inside the Imperial Hotel chain there.
The Shijiazhuang remained as the head branch for the Sweet Tooth Café for the Sweet Tooth brand, despite the owner being based at the Beijing branch.
After Dayu and Qing got married, Dayu decided to stay permanently in Beijing, opening a branch of his Sweet Tooth Café there.
Aunt Huiyin and her husband Uncle Tsang were appointed as the joint managers of the Shijiazhuang head branch with Yang promoted to Head Baker position. Ah To became a full time baker. Siew Li became the head waitress. Some new faces were recruited to fill in the empty posts that came with the café's expansion.
And just last year; Minjun joined them again, as the café's accountant, after finishing his four year study.
Minjun and Yang were still a together stronger than ever; despite clashing several times during the four years when Minjun pursued his study at the Peking University in Beijing.
The Sweet Tooth Café is still the same family café that Dayu started ten years ago. Except for Dayu; everybody else who started the café were still there.
That's why; even though Dayu was the owner, and he's now based in Beijing ; the head branch for his Sweet Tooth Café brand is still in Shijiazhuang. And Dayu still comes for a visit every fortnight, with his entourage; the husband and the son.
No sooner that Aunt Huiyin and Uncle Tsang arrived, Yang and Minjun arrived too. Looked like all of the original café family, came much earlier today; Siew Li smiled to herself. Of course; today it's the boss fortnightly visit.
They're going to treat Dayu, Qing and Xiao Qu their best food and drinks.
By 7.30 am; thirty minutes before the daily opening of the café, everybody had already came in for work. And they waited excitedly for the owner and his family's visit.
