Qing's POV
The intercom buzzer beeped and I pressed the receive button, putting my Secretary on the line.
"Sir..We have a situation.."
I frowned. I seldom get this kind of information from my staff. It's something that would usually indicate problem.
"What kind of problem..?" I stopped what I was doing, and waited for the news from secretary.
"Ms Lin is at the hotel lobby..and she's demanding to see you.."
Of all the troubles I didn't want to encounter this would be one of the worst. The last time I faced Lin Min Mei, I couldn't even talked to her normally anymore. From someone whom I'd always put high on a pedestal, she became someone I could almost hate. She became so unrecognisable, beyond belief.
I had made it very clear, three years ago, that I never wanted to see her if she came to me with the purpose of forcing her feelings on me. I told her that my feelings for her had long died and that I had found the one I really love and I wanted to be with for the rest of my life.
And, she hadn't come to me since. Guo gege, stayed with Lin Min Mei, despite what she had done, probably because he's still in love with her and also for the sake of their child. I didn't really follow their news after that; because I just want to focus on finding Dayu, but I did hear that Guo gege took her and their child to Australia several months after our last encounter.
I thought they would stay there for good. I was shocked to see her, alone, that time when we saw each other at the shopping mall.
I didn't want to know what happened between them, because I didn't want to appear that I still have any interest in her or their relationship. That was one of the things, I realised I had to change if I want Lin Min Mei to really believe my words. My little gestures of friendship, no matter how innocent, she would take it as a sign that I still loved her. So, I decided not to care anymore. I didn't want to feed her delusion.
I thought I knew everything she had done; the baby she tried to pass as mine, the lies she tried to use to convince my parents, the cruel words she told Guo gege to convince him that the baby was mine and that I loved her and I wanted her.
Little did I knew, that she had done more. She might have sensed that I was already a changed man, when she came home that time when she decided that she wanted me after all. Even though, at that time I was still unaware of my real feelings for Dayu; she already realised it. She probably knew that I was in love Dayu, and that's why she told all those lies to him.
Though, it's my fault that Dayu left me; but, Lin Min Mei's words must have hurt Dayu so much.
"Uhm..Sir..?" My secretary's voice brought me back to the present, and I realised that I hadn't given my answer to my secretary yet.
