FIVE YEARS AGO
Qing's POV
I frowned. This is the second time that I did my weekly round to the restaurant kitchen, that I didn't see him.
It bothered me. I acknowledged that now. And I'm so bothered by this situation.
I told myself it's the concern of me as his employer and that's why I was bothered. But, that's actually not all there is to it.
The last time I saw him was that night when we held Min Mei's and my best friend's wedding reception at the ballroom hall, two weeks ago.
"Where is that new guy?" I asked, I just can't help myself anymore.
"He requested for a change in his shift, Mr President.." The kitchen head answered quickly, "the application was sent to the human resource manager and it was granted..."
I gritted my teeth, trying to appear as calm as I could. Change in shift?????
"So, the new guy now comes to work in the evening..!?"
In these two months, I realised that he was always looking at my way and he thought that I didn't noticed. I never showed to him that I had noticed him looking at me.
And now; with him suddenly changing his shift and I hadn't been able to see him; I became a little restless. I'm so used to having him watching me that I really find it 'strange' not having his eyes following me around.
What the heck! Why am I felling like this? I even went around the restaurant a few times outside of my normal rounds just so that I could let him see me. I thought, everything's just fine. But, then he changed his shift? Why?
And my heart skipped a beat. Did he change his shift from day to night because he had ulterior motive!?!!! He's looking for a new prey!!!!
The moment that he smiled at me and stop up to me; without fear, unlike everybody else I knew; I already knew that he's not like other people I had around me.
I saw his name tag; Feng JianYu; and I knew that he's new because I had never seen him before that day. And because of his 'strangeness' I sent my PI to dig him up.
That's when I knew of him being a fag. He's an orphan; who seemed to be smart enough to finish highschool education and he's also taking courses at the university. He had men supporting him and his education until recently. My PI even found out that he caused two university professors to fight over him; and one of them was an openly gay professor whilst the other one came out after the fight. Both wanted Feng JianYu, apparently. Yet, somehow he did not choose either one and opted to postpone his university study instead. That scandal might have made him so ashamed to attend university.
And now, he's looking for a new sugar daddy. Well; working in a big and prestigious hotel like my hotel is one of the way to get a rich and convenient man for a fag like him. He's a very good looking man. The kind of how gay men are these days; manly and not girly. Feng JianYu is a gay man and a fag but not the girly type. He didn't look like he aspired to be a woman. He's a man; but he just preferred other men, sexually.
