A week before Dayu disappeared...
Qing's POV
I am seething. No; actually I am boiling mad. I am close to blowing up at the moment.
The PI I put in charge of tailing Dayu; caught him again, going to my uncle's house at night. This is the third time.
When the PI reported to me, about Dayu's visit to my uncle's house almost half a year ago; I was shocked and dumb struck. I didn't even know that Dayu knew my uncle. Dayu never made any indication that he knew my cousin or my uncle at all.
It was the second day, that I wasn't able to come home, because of my swollen red cheek, where I was hit by Min Mei's bag.
I had to grudgingly stay at my apartment, resisting the urge to just come home to Dayu. But, I was embarrassed of my face; I didn't want to show Dayu a less than perfect face, hence I made myself stay in my apartment until the swell and bruise subsided.
On the third day, my PI messaged me and informed me that he sent some pictures to my email. I had almost forgotten about that PI actually; I put him to tail Dayu and report to me if there's something suspicious, in the first few weeks that Dayu signed the contract with me. And he never contacted me since. I had forgotten all about it, until I got his message that day.
Imagine my shock and my pain when I saw the pictures of Dayu going to and walking out of my uncle's house the night before.
Here I was, restless, and missing Dayu like crazy and wanting to see him; and this is what he's doing? Going to another person's house on the second night he was left alone!??
Nevertheless, I tried telling myself that it's nothing like I thought it to be. That there's some explanation behind everything. But, when I came to the apartment a few days later, and I hinted to Dayu whether he had something to tell me. He said, there's nothing to tell.
I asked Dayu, if he had gone anywhere in the days that I wasn't home; his reply was like a poison; bitter and slowly killing me.
He said, "No. I didn't go anywhere. I went to work and went straight back here.."
The man, who somehow made me forget about my unrequited love of ten years; the man I really felt happy to be by my side; the man, I thought would never betray me; was lying through his teeth.
What's more; when I casually asked my cousin if she knew of somebody named Feng JianYu, who was working in my hotel's restaurant, she answers 'No, I don't '. That made it even more obvious.
Dayu's seeing my uncle. In other words he's having an affair with my uncle.
My Uncle Tony, had lost his wife six years prior, to an accident and he had never been seen with another woman since. We all thought that he's still young enough to date and even maybe marry again, and I knew that my cousin wished for it too. She loved her father that much- but I never thought that my uncle would turn to another man.
