Sweet Tooth Cafe

Dayu's POV

Something's not quiet right. I can sense it. The guys were keeping something from me. And I had a feeling that it had something to do with Minjun, our youngest member.

He's been dating Yang, for almost three years now. And though I used to go out with Yang, it was never awkward between the three of us. Probably because both Yang and I knew that what happened between us was a mistake which fortunately was over before it got even worse. Personally, for me, that phase of my life, was a bit blurry. It happened at the lowest time in my life; where I was hurting and all I wanted to do was to get over that hurt by whatever means necessary. I was not myself. Luckily, Yang was alert to my state of mind and put a stop to everything.

It was a barely two months relationship; blurry and very brief. That's why in my mind I couldn't even think of Yang as being my ex. He's more of a friend than an ex boyfriend. And that's why, I was more than a little glad, when I knew that Yang and Minjun had become lovers several months later.

I knew that Yang really loved Minjun. It was not a rebound relationship, like ours. Both of them were really serious about each other and it was obvious that they loved each other very much. It was a whirlwind romance. I was very happy because Yang had found his true love and I was so thankful because it was Minjun. Young as he was; his heart was strong and pure. Yang couldn't be with a better person.

They had been going strong for the past three years. So, I was not expecting something like this to happen. Although, both Yang and Minjun appeared to be just the same as they had always been, I sensed that there's something going on. And they're keeping it from me.

Although it was highly unlikely, I was a little worried and concerned; does it have anything to do with me? That's impossible, though, because what happened between Yang and me, was nothing compared to what they have now; but I couldn't help but worry because they seemed to keep it from me. If it was not related to me; then they would have told me, right? We're family after all. And we'd been looking after each other's back for three years now.

Ever since I came back from my one week visit to Beijing, I had sensed this unsettling aura at the café. It had been a few days now; and I couldn't take it anymore.

"Hey..Kang Minjun, in the office for a moment, please..?" I sneaked my head via the door connecting the staff lounge and the counter, and called for Minjun who was at the counter sitting with Aunt Huiyin.

He looked at me, and he more than looked a little flustered in my eyes. It really was getting me worried now.

"Yes, boss.." he finally stood up as I waited for his respond not moving from the door.

I folded my hands in front of my chest, acting my best as the strict boss deliberately, wanting to intimidate Minjun more as he walked into the office. I needed to get to the bottom of things. And I prayed this wouldn't be what I feared.
