Present day
Ann's POV
"Dayu's here..?" I stood upright, automatically, "you brought Dayu back to Beijing..? And he agreed?"
I heard my cousin giving an exasperated sigh, "yes. He's already here, ain't he? Why still ask if he agreed..?"
"Dayu being here..And he agreeing to it..are two different thing, where you're concerned, Qing...and you know it..." I said, coldly. I knew how much my cousin had been obsessed with Dayu, for three years. All he could think of was Dayu.
When Dayu left him; that's when he finally saw everything for what they really were. Which was pretty pointless to me; considering he had had Dayu for two years and he never owned up to his feelings honestly.
When Qing found Dayu again after three years; I knew that he'd do everything he could to make Dayu his once again. And I know, I agreed to be supportive of him. But, that doesn't mean that I would allow him to force Dayu into anything.
"Ann..We're officially together..."
What!? Did I hear him correctly!?
"What do you mean..?" I frowned, freezing on my feet. Hearing that Dayu was here shocked me and now, Qing's telling me that they're officially together?
"We're dating..."
"Really..? Dayu agreed to it..? Or is it just you, who forced yourself onto him..?"
I clearly heard Qing clicked his tongue at me on the phone, "Just what kind of a person do you think I am, Ann Wang? I'm your cousin, for God sake...I would never force myself on anybody..." he sounded really annoyed.
My heart went out for Qing a little. I know I sounded harsh. He's my cousin and I'm being mean to him. But I couldn't help it. Three years ago, he hurt the one person who saved me and my father's life. Of course I couldn't really give him my full trust just yet; even though I said I will give him the opportunity to make Dayu happy. It's his fault that I'm this disillusioned about his intention.
"I know..You're the great Wang Qing. Women threw themselves at your feet on a daily basis..." I sneered, " but, this isn't just anybody we're talking about...This is Dayu..."
"Indeed...And if it's just any other person; I'd just left them hanging...You know, I haven't looked at anybody else for five years..."
That's true. I never saw or even heard of him dating another person since he knew Dayu. But, that didn't change the fact that he blindly hurt Dayu for two years, which resulted in Dayu disappearing.
"Which is exactly why I'm being suspicious...You've only met again, for three months...And Dayu already agreed to date you..?"
"Geez... This is just the reason why I didn't want to tell you anything...!" Qing snapped at me, "I know that I'm desperate for him..But, I know what I want this time around...I'm not looking for a short term relationship with Dayu...I want him in my life until we're both grey..Do you think our relationship would last if I forced him into anything..?"
