Present Day

Qing's POV

"Baba..." Ann spoke softly, putting the flowers in front of the tomb, bearing my uncle's picture, "You must be very happy today...I brought Dayu with me.."

And I met Ann's eyes, "I also brought Qing though...I hope you're not too mad..."

I huffed my annoyance, "cut it out..I've been visiting Uncle countless of times now..." my only regret was, he never allowed me near him even during his last days. He was that mad at me. I prayed constantly, that deep down in his heart he had forgiven me.

"Hmm.." Ann gave me a sneering look then she ignored me as she put her hand around Dayu's shoulders.

I gritted my teeth. I wasn't sure if she was doing that on purpose, just to irk me or she was really genuinely comforting Dayu.

I glanced at Dayu and my heart fell when I saw his expression. He was close to tears, and sought his hand immediately.

He looked at me, smiling a little, but his eyes were not.

"Dayu ah.."

"I had a lot to answer for.." He whispered with a tinge of sadness in his voice, then he looked back in front, gazing at the tombstone, "hey, old man..." Dayu smiled, greeting the tombstone as if it was really my uncle standing there, "I'm here now..And I think I will be able to visit you often from now on, old man..."

So, that's what Dayu called Uncle Tony? Old man..They were obviously close; very very close, for Dayu to be able to call my uncle that. It's not as if I didn't know that, though; because I spent the last three years estranged from Uncle Tony, because of what happened with Dayu.

Oh, I knew just how much Dayu meant to him and to Ann. It's just; it still surprised me, seeing how Dayu interact with my uncle for the first time.

Uncle Tony was no longer here with us, but I bet that he's happy Dayu could now come and visit him like this. He no longer had to visit Uncle Tony in secret like he did that day; the day of Uncle Tony's burial.

I still feel guilty; for what I did. It was me who drove Dayu into hiding. It was me who forced Dayu to disappear from Uncle Tony's and Ann's side. And this guilt might never be appeased for as long as I live. I realised that. The only I could do is to treat Dayu as best as I could. That's what uncle Tony wanted me to do.

We took some twenty minutes at the tombstone; none of us talked much, though. We just stood there, looking at Uncle Tony's tombstone and having our own silent monologue with him.

"Baba..We have to go now...We will come visit you again.."

"I'll see you soon, old man..."

"I'll make Dayu happy, Uncle Tony..I promise.."
