I came home a little earlier today since I didn't have to work long on friday. I entered the apartement and threw my bag into the corner before I slipped off my shoes. My feet hurt and I was extremely tired. The last days had been really exhausting and I've been always tired these past weeks.
I opened the fridge to look for something eatable but decided on just an apple for now. I fell down on the sofa in the living room and took a bite out of my apple. I turned on the tv and skipped through the channels. Annoyed that I couldn't find something interesting to watch I put on my favourite show on netflix and got comfortable on the sofa. I cuddled into the pillows and pulled the blanket around my body. Before the show even fully started I already fell asleep.
Shawn's pov:
I got home from the studio earlier that normal since I wanted to surprise my girlfriend tonight. I unlocked the door of our apartement and walked in. I saw y/n's shoes and bag laying on the ground so I knew she was home already.
“Y/n? Baby I'm home.“ I called out but got no answer. I heard the tv playing in the living room so I placed my shoes on the ground and walked over.
“Babe?“ I asked but immediately spotted her on the sofa. Sleeping. I sat down next to her and softly put a piece of her hair behind her ear. I smiled and stroked her back lovingly.
“Hey y/n.“ I whispered. She stirred before mumbling something that sounded like 'what'.
“Wake up, I planned something for tonight.“ I tried but she just shook her head no.
“Please baby? I thought we could go out on a date and-“
“Oh my god, no Shawn! Just let me sleep, please!“ she snapped tiredly at me but immediately started crying after.
She only gets annoyed like that when she's really tired and exhausted so I just turned off the tv before I laid my arms around her. I stood up with her in my arms and made my way into our bedroom. I laid her down on the bed and crawled in next to her. I pulled her into my chest and stroked her hair lightly, kissing her head.
“I'm sorry hunny. I didn't know you were that tired but now you can sleep. And please stop crying, everything is okay, I'm here.“ I whispered and she cuddled closer to me.
“Thank you! And I'm sorry.“ she sniffled quietly.
“I love you“ I whispered back but she already was asleep again. I rubbed her back lightly as I admired her. I was a little sad about our date night but right now the most important thing was y/n's health. And I would do anything for her to feel better.
After a while I felt myself getting tired too and decided to change into something more comfortable. I tried to get out of the tight grip of my beloved girlfriend but she wouldn't let me go so I stayed in bed with her. Only seconds later the sleep came over me and I was far away in dreamland.
Three weeks later:
Shawn took me to the doctor today since my tiredness wouldn't go away even though I sleep more than enough during the night and even during the day. I had no idea where it was coming from and it actually scared me a little.
“Y/n Mendes?“ a nurse called out and I looked at Shawn who set this appointment.
“What?“ he asked and stood up. “That's you!“
“I know but Mendes? Really? We're not married, nor even engaged.“ I chuckled.
“Yet!“ he winked at me and I blushed. We approached the nurse and she smiled, leading us into a small white room. We all sat down around a table and she typed something on the computer before turning to us.
“So you're here because you're really tired the last weeks is that right?“
“Yes. I don't know where this comes from since I sleep very much during the night and even on daytime.“ I explained and she nodded, typing everything in the computer.
“Okay so we will take a few test, could you please take this so we can make an urine test first?“ she handed me a small cup.
“Right now?“
“yes please, that would be the best“
I got up and went to the bathroom. A few minutes later I got back and handed her the cup. She took it and walked out to check it over.
I sat down on the chair next to Shawn and he took my hand in his. I yawned and laid my head on his shoulder, waiting for the nurse to come back.
The door opened and she walked back in, some papers in her hands.
“So I got your results.“ she smiled.
“And? Is it bad?“ Shawn asked her.
“Oh no, absolutely not!“
“What is it?“
“Well what can I say. You're pregnant! Congratulations!“ she smiled and I sunk down onto the chair again, shocked.
“A-are you serious!?“ Shawn whispered and she nodded.
“Oh my god! Hunnyy we're having a baby!“ he grinned at me with tears in his eyes.
“Yeah... oh my god.“ I whispered looking at him with big, teary eyes.
After the first shock we thanked the nurse and walked out to the car. We soon arrived home and that's when it finally hit me. I was pregnant with the baby of my boyfriend of 5 years. I started crying and fell into Shawn's arms.
“We're having a baby!“ I laughed happily and kissed him.
“I know, I can't believe it! We're finally starting our little family and I'm so excited!“
I looked at Shawn and yawned before I bursted out with laughter.
“Hey little one, stop making mummy sleepy all the time“ Shawn baby talked to my still flat stomach before pressing a sweet kiss onto it and my heart skipped at his sweet words. I felt my cheeks getting hot and my fingers played with Shawn's dark curls as he looked up at me.
“Come on, let's go to bed!“ he stood up and held out his hand for me. I took it and together we cuddled into the sheets. We talked a lot and already started planing but I eventually fell asleep with Shawn's hand laying protectively over my belly.
Holy shit I haven't posted in a while. I made it a little longer, but what is this omg? I really hope this is okay haha.
This is actually me when I'm tired and someone tries talking to me😂 only difference is that I don't have a Shawn with me... and I'm not pregnant!
Well I hope I can post more during the next weeks since summer break starts on wednesday😍
