Your point of view
It was a hot summer day and Shawn had a day off today. We were currently on tour in Australia and decided to spent the day at the beach with Shawn's team and Brian and Matt who where on tour with us.
I was laying on my towel reading a book while Shawn was laying beside me, one arm around my waist. I felt him staring at me and couldn't help to smile a little before I looked over to him.
"Is there something wrong?"
"Nope, nothing."
"Then why are you staring at me?"
"Because honey, my girlfriend is fucking gorgeous!" He whispered and came closer. I blushed hardly and looked down, smiling big.
"No I'm not!" I mumbled still smiling.
"You are. You're beautiful."
"Baby stop making me blush!"
I giggled and he laughed before turning my face to look at him before he pressed a kiss onto my lips. I immediately kissed him back but we were quickly interrupted.
"Guys, please! We're at a beach!" Mike yelled at us so we pulled away again.
"Chill man, it was only one kiss!" Shawn laughed and pulled me closer to him before pressing a quick kiss onto my temple.
"Who is going to the water with me?" he then asked and stood up.
"Y/n?"
"Sorry baby but I really want to read that book right now!" I said and laid back down on my stomach. He groaned playfully but then walked away with Mike, Dave and Matt. I watched them fooling around for a while and noticed that Shawn was throwing a quick glance at me every now and then.
"He really loves you!" Brian said from beside me. "I haven't seen him any happier than when he's with you!" I smiled and kept watching Shawn.
"I love him so much. He's the most important person in my life!"
"You can see that from five miles away!" Brian chuckled.
"Do you wanna come with me and join them in the water?" He asked after a while and I sighed before nodding.
"Alright, why not. I can't concentrate on that book right now anyway." We stood up and walked the few steps over the hot sand until we reached the water. I slowly walked in and walked over to Shawn.
"Hey baby!" I greeted him.
"Hello beautiful!" He smiled and pulled me into his arms. My arms hung loosely around his waist and my head rested on his chest but not for long. A big swall of water hit us and the boys behind us started laughing.
"Mike what the he'll, why did you do that?" Shawn yelled at his friend.
"I'm sorry but we're still in public!"
"What's the problem with that? We didn't even do anything!" Shawn let me go and started splashing water at Mike. This quickly turned into a really fun water fight between all of us until I got an idea.
"Hey, guys wait a second. I have an idea, why don't we make teams?"
"We could do teams of two. One takes the other one onto their shoulders. And they have to push down the one from the other teams. You know what I mean?" Brian suggested and immediately Shawn was by my side.
"Who said I wanna be in your team?" I tried to look at him weirdly but I couldn't hide my smile so he just rolled his eyes and chuckled before he pulled me into his arms.
After the teams were made we got ready. I climbed onto Shawn's shoulders and he grabbed my legs for support. I couldn't help but let my fingers run through his wet curls and smiled as he looked up at me.
"Okay ready? Let's go!" Brian shouted and the boys ran and tried to push the ones sitting onto the shoulders to fall down.
Since Shawn made clear before that he will kill everyone that hurts me or try to even touch me the guys didn't bother me. But I still got all in and pushed one after the other into the water. Shawn and I cheered as Brian who was the last one beside me fell down. Shawn held out his hand for me so I highfived him laughing.
"That wasn't fair, you guys knew that we wouldn't touch Y/n so of course you win. Let's do new teams but with Shawn and Y/n in different teams!" Matt complained and the others agreed so we formed new teams. This time I was on Dave's shoulders and Shawn on Brian's, Matt and Mike forming the third team.
Soon I was face to face with Shawn and smirked sheepishly at him, knowing that I would try anything to win. He smirked back, getting ready to push me down but I was still a little bit too far away.
Dave stepped closer so was only a few centimeters away from Shawn when he quickly grabbed my shoulders. I squealed and got ready to be pushed down but instead his hands wandered to my cheeks. Before I knew it he pulled me close to him and kissed me. I giggled softly and kissed him back, hearing Mike groan behind us but I didn't care. I felt Shawn smile into the kiss before he pulled away again.
Just then his smile turned into a wide grin and the next thing I knew I was falling. My back hit the water as I dove in and I heared Shawn and Brian cheer loudly.
As I got back up again I gasped and pushed the wet hair out of my face.
"Shawn!" I yelled.
"Yes honey?" He tried to sound serious but I could hear in his voice that he was trying not to laugh.
"Why did you do that?"
"I wanted to win, duh."
"I hate you!" I frowned.
"No you don't!" Shawn smiled and swam over to me to pull me into a hug.
We stayed in the water for a while longer until I started to get cold. Shawn and I then walked out and back to our towels hand in hand, leaving the others in the water.
Shawn noticed I was freezing so he grabbed one of the towels and held it out for me. I walked into his arms and he pulled the towel around me holding me for a moment before he kissed me and let go of me. Together we laid down onto the big beach blanket that we shared. I cuddled into Shawn's side, my head laying on his naked chest and his arms tightly wrapped around me.
"I love you Shawn!" I whispered as I draw random circles onto his skin with my fingers.
"I love you Y/n!" he whispered back. I smiled and kissed his chest, closing my eyes and dozing off while the day slowly came to an end.
I think that's kinda cute...
