“Babe wake up!“ I heard my boyfriend say but I was too tired to open my eyes yet.
“Shawn... what time is it?“
“That doesn't matter! Do you know what day it is?“
“It's saturday so let me sleep!“ I groaned and turned around, trying to fall asleep again.
“No silly, it's the first day of december! Do you know what that means?!“ I didn't answer him but he just continued talking.
“That means that it's finally christmas time! We can finally start decorating the house and, most importantly finally get a christmas tree!“ I finally gave up on trying to sleep and slowly opened my eyes to look at him.
“Isn't it a little too early for a christmas tree?“ I yawned.
“You said that already two weeks ago but then you promised to get one in december so what are we waiting for?“
“Honey I'm really sorry to tell you that but, you know, if we buy a tree today how will it survive until christmas? It's still four weeks until that, it will be dead and look ugly by then.“ He sighed and let himself fall back onto the bed next to me.
“I hate this!“
“What?“
“That you're always right.“ He groaned before he rolled over to look at me. I laughed at his comment and saw a small smirk grow on his face.
“But can we at least start decorating the house already?“
“Yes we can.“ I smiled and he immediately was out of the bed again.
“Yayyy!“ he cheered loudly and tried to pull me out of the bed to get ready.
“Alright, alright I'm up. Guess I'm just staying in my pajamas today. Let's go.“ I said and walked out of the bedroom door behind him. I watched him run to where all our christmas decoration was put into boxes and shook my head laughing loudly. When it comes to christmas my 20 year old boyfriend always turns into a 5 year old little kid!
