I got home and I was warmly welcomed by Cade.

"I was getting worried. Where were you?" He asked again.

"I uh-"

"Oh there you are! Come inside, we're waiting for you." My mom came out and said.

I was so happy I didn't have to answer Cade's question. I was actually wondering who was inside the house and why they were waiting for me.

My mom, Cade and I went to the living room and there was Ember and Max.
I embraced them both and my mom brought us some snacks and we sat there and talked.

"Above all guys, I'm very grateful for your presence. You're the only people in this world who love me." I told them.

"But of course." Laughed Ember.

It was so sweet to have them there. I guess sometimes in life you need people who will stand by you regardless of the situation.

"Well I have to go guys, I'm on night duty again today." My mother announced.

We waved her goodbye and she left.

So it was just the four of us.

"I guess now that we're alone it's the best time to confess something." Ember began.

Cade and I looked at each other.
I looked down as I immediately thought about what the doctor had told me.

"So the thing is, Max and I have been seeing each other for some time now." Ember said.

The two intertwined their fingers together and smiled at each other.

"Aww you guys! I'm happy for you." I said.

"Me too. But how could you keep something like this from your friends?" Cade asked.

"Well things were pretty rough for you guys so we thought it'd be a little selfish. But I guess you can't keep some secrets forever, it's either they'll eventually show or you just have to confess." Ember said.

Her words made my stomach turn.

Like literally my stomach turned.

I felt the vomit coming up.

I stood up and rushed to the bathroom and I threw up.

I could hear Max, Ember and Cade following after me.

"Babe are you okay?" Cade asked while he stood outside the bathroom door.

"Yeah. Don't worry about me."

"Are you sure it's nothing?" Max asked.

"Yeah guys, I'm okay." I lied.

Ember was right. My secret was going to eventually start showing. If I keep throwing up like this, someone's definitely gonna get suspicious and not to mention my belly is gonna start expanding.

Ember and Max went back to the living room. Cade stayed behind and we went upstairs to my room.

"So, are you alright?" He asked.

"Cade stop asking that, I'm as fit as a fiddle." I said.

"Okay okay, so your mom said that I can say here as long as you stay in your room and I stay in mine." He said.

"Typical mother." I said rolling my eyes.

"She said I'm allowed to come and check up on you whenever I feel like it. But we can't share the same bed." He said.

"It's alright. The good part is that you'll be close by and only one call away." I hugged him.

"Look Maia, I just want you to know something special. You'll always be my number one priority. You're my sun after the rain, arghhh and there's just so much more to say. But I don't want to waffer too much, just know that I love you and you can always count on me." He said.

"I love you too." That's all I managed to say.

Then I reached for his lips. Kissing him was one of the best feelings on earth.
