Maia stormed out of the gymnasium. I felt a little bad for how I had treated her earlier. I just didn't think it was necessary for her to know every single detail about what happened at Jack's house. I was angry yes, but I didn't do anything that bad to Jack. He deserved it anyway.

Truth is I was provoked when he said, "How does it feel knowing that I fucked your girl?"

I lost it. I lost all my common sense. I punched him. I hit him badly and bruised him. He also hit me back... the battle took a twisted turn when I stabbed him. But he wasn't on the verge of death though. It wasn't even that serious. I stabbed him on the shoulder. He even had the strength to kick me out of his house.

I was actually wondering where Jack was.

"Maia." I called her.

She walked past me and didn't say a thing. She looked upset. And I know it was my fault. I then decided to follow after her.

"Cade Harrison." An officer called me.

"Yes."

"You're wanted." And so I followed after him.

I walked into the gymnasium where Maia had been.

They did their dumb introductions and the harsh questioning began.

"Cade Harrison. It says here that you're Kendall's former boyfriend." Said Walker.

"What's that got to do with anything?" I asked.

"Don't get ahead of yourself kid." Said Norman.

"It also says that you're Maia's girlfriend, which makes you the prime suspect on Jack's disappearance."

"What? That doesn't even make any sense. I only went to that idiot's house because he raped my girl." I hissed.

"There's no need to raise your voice kid-"

"There is need for me to raise my voice because my girlfriend was raped and instead of you doing a productive search for that rapist you're busy here asking dumb questions. Find that rapist and stop wasting my time." I barked.

"Jack is missing Cade-"

"I know and I don't care."

"Stop interrupting me and listen," Walker said and moved closer to me.
"If anything is to happen to Jack, all the dirt is on you."

"How? I was only trying to defend my girlfriend. Would you do the same for your girlfriend... that's if you even have one."

"Don't disrespect me Harrison. Disrespect for authority is a punishable offence." Walker said.

"Cade, I hope you understand that even if Jack raped Maia, if you caused any harm to him, you still get punished. Unlike if it was Maia who cause him any harm, it would be considered as an act of self defence. For you, it's a crime." Norman spoke.

"Man, you got a deal with Maia or something? You seem a little too keen about-"

"I'm just trying to do my job." He defended himself.

"It doesn't seem like it. To me it seems like you're more interested in Maia than anything else." I retorted back.

"Quite the contrary I just want to make it clear that you're in a lot of trouble kid. Tell us what happened."

"I went over to his house. We said harsh things to each other. He was bragging about how he 'got a taste' of Maia. I got angry and we fought. After exchanging some fists, he kicked me out of his house. Literally." I explained. Only telling them part of the truth.

"Alright. I hope that's all." Walker said.

"Can I go now?"

"Not so fast, it seems like Maia is a little upset with you, why is that?" Norman asked.

"What goes on in my relationship with Maia is our business not yours."

I left the room. I left feeling very uneasy. I wasn't too happy that they were cornering me. But I also didn't like how Norman was going on about Maia. I was getting an intense gut feeling that was telling me that the darkest hour was coming any day now...
