The weekend zoomed out and it was yet another week at River High. Exactly two months from now, we'd be graduating.

I walked in with Cade, even though him and I had been distant lately, we still live together and we are still a couple.

"Oh hell and the demons below, what is this?" Cade asked when he saw policemen still around the school.

"Let me find out." I told him.

"Whatever. This is probably just an excuse for you to go and talk to Norman." He said and walked away.

I honestly couldn't tolerate his moods and unreasonable remarks anymore so I walked away also.

I found Norman and Walker in the gymnasium.

"Why are you guys still here?"

Norman lit up when he saw me and he approached me.

"Well, Cade didn't kill Jack, so who did?" He said.

"Jack was poisoned and dumped by a lake. So we need to find the murderer and from my assumption it can only be anyone at this school." Walker said.

"Do you know anyone else who had issues with Jack? Besides you and Cade?" Asked Norman. His voice shrugged when he mentioned Cade and I rolled my eyes at the gesture.

"All I know is that he cheated on Alison with Kendall but Alison refused to believe it." I answered.
"But can't you guys like work elsewhere? Cause some of us have a graduation coming up and I wanna spend my last days of high school in a calm, peaceful and fun environment. Not this gloomy hell hole you're creating." I said.

"We understand Maia and we apologize." Said Walker.

I turned to leave but Norman stopped me.

"We need to talk."

"Between you and I Norman, there's nothing to talk about."

I left the gymnasium and went to my locker.

Alison was also there but we didn't say a word to one another.

Then it hit me. Alison might know something about Jack.

"Alison, could I speak to you for a second?"

Surprisingly she said sure.

"Look, I need your help."

"Ahh with what Maia? Cade is out of jail, What more do you want?"

"I need to find out who killed Jack."

"Oh please, you don't even care about him, so what's it to you?"

"Alison, do you want this school to become a police station?"

"Duh, of course not."

"So help me. And he was your boyfriend, wouldn't you want justice to be served? C'mon Ali. Even though he cheated on you."

"Get out of my sight." She growled and turned to leave.

My heart skipped a beat... I remembered the video I took long back. The day Kendall and Cade broke up. Kendall admitted to sleeping with Jack in the video. Why didn't I think of it sooner.

"Alison wait."

"Wait for what Maia? You're always wasting my time!"

"I'm gonna try one more time and if this video doesn't change your mind on helping me then that's fine." I took out my phone and showed her the video.

Her facial expression changed as the video progressed. A tear fell from her eye onto the floor.

"Maia... why didn't you show me sooner? I'm such a bitch for not listening to you. You were my best friend and you'd never lie to me." She said bursting into tears.

I didn't know how to react. I didn't know if I was supposed to hug her or get back at her for breaking our friendship or making my life hell. Or if I was supposed to agree with the fact that she really was a bitch for not listening to me. Or if I was supposed to blame her for getting raped. Or if I was supposed to thank her cause in disguise, her breaking our friendship was a blessing. Ember and Max became my companions. So my heart was in a million places.

"So... are you gonna help me or not?" I asked completely avoiding what she had just said.

"Of course, let's go get that psychokillerbitch."
