The weekend dawned in and I remembered Cade telling me that he needed a good lawyer. The one given to him wasn't good enough for him, apparently.

So I sat behind my laptop and began looking for lawyers in our town.
Shockingly I found an image of my own father.

"My dad is an attorney?" I asked myself.

I clicked on his image and his info appeared.
Wow. Could this get any more interesting. I was relieved cause at least I wouldn't have to pay him.

"Dad?" I said through the phone.

"Maia? You're calling me on my work line."

"Yes I need a favour." I said bluntly.

"And what's that?"

"Well my boyfriend got arrested and his hearing is in a few days. So I was wondering if you could work pretty fast and maybe get him out?"

He laughed.

"Your boyfriend is in jail? And you want me to get him out?"

"Please dad. Not only will you be saving an innocent soul but it'll also make up for lost time." I persuaded.

"Fine. How much are you offering?" He laughed.

I laughed too and we agreed to go see Cade later on in the afternoon. But first I had to go see Norman.

I left home at around 1 in the afternoon and I made my way to the mall. Where I agreed to meet Norman.

He was there waiting.

"Are the autopsy results out yet?" I asked without

"Good afternoon to you too."

"Yeah whatever. Results? What did they say?"

He looked annoyed.

"They're in my car. If you wanna see them so bad we'll have to go there." He said.

I rolled my eyes. And we walked to his car.

He opened the back seat for me and I got in. He went and got in the other side.

I felt a little odd but I shrugged it off.

"So where are they?" I asked.

"They're right here..." he said getting closer and before I could react, he kissed me.

He kissed me so deeply, I couldn't break away. And not to deny it, I really liked it. It was deep and exciting. He pulled me close and I sat on his laps and his hands were on the lower part of my back. He removed my jacket and I removed his. The kissing got deeper and he started kissing my neck. I'm sure it left some lovebites. When his hands made their way underneath my top, reality came in.

I pulled away.

"Norman, we can't do this. Arghh look at what you're making me do." I complained.

He stroked my hair softly and he breathed down my neck.

"What's this for?" I asked him.

"Well cause after I give you the autopsy results I know you're gonna go running back to Cade and I won't matter to you anymore."

Cade! I completely forgot about him. This is bad.

"Wait so that means that you have evidence that Cade is innocent?" I asked getting excited.

"I hate to say this but yes."

I was filled with mixed emotions. Was I meant to be happy or sad?

What am I even saying? I'm supposed to be happy. Cade will be free.

"Norman, I, I don't know what to say. I mean I'm happy. You know this wasn't even supposed to have happened in the first place." I reasoned.

He looked dissapointed.

"So where are the results?"

He kept quiet. I got off his laps.

"Norman answer me!" I demanded.
"Oh I get it. You want Cade to stay in prison so that I'm all yours? I thought they said never mix business with pleasure."

"It's not like that, but he's a crimina-"

I slapped him before he could finish.

I rummaged his car and I finally found the results and I got out of his car.

"You can't take that!"

"Watch me Norman." I said immediately going to my car and leaving.

After leaving I met my dad at the police station like we had agreed.

I ran to him and gave him a hug.

"Why so happy?"

"The autopsy results. Case is innocent!" I exclaimed.

"Calm down. Did you even look at them?"

"No, well I don't understand them."

My dad opened the envelope and he looked concentrated for some time.

"What does it say?"

"It says here that Jack died of poisoning, not the stabbing. So Cade is a free man." He said happily.

I won't lie, I was happy.

"So we just have to wait for the hearing?" I asked.

"No, with this evidence, Cade will be free today."
