"Lucy, come on! Please! There's no reason to not go!" Penelope was standing in Lucy's living room, trying to convince her to go to a concert with her.
"Penelope, I've got work to do", Lucy tried to make excuses, but the technical analyst didn't let this count at all.
"Oh, come on! You've got a student that loves to work at the bookstore. And I've got one ticket left! I know you like Green Day! And...girl, you finally need to have some fun again!" Penelope took two tickets out of her purse and waved them in front of Lucy's face. She sighed. Yes, she liked Green Day. Yes, she'd loved to see them live at least once. And she knew, Penelope was right. Lucy finally needed to have some fun again. And this was her chance.
"Alright, I'll join you", Lucy eventually gave in and let herself fall on the couch. Squealing, Penelope followed her and hugged her tightly. "Yessss! You'll love it, I'm sure!"
Her joy made Lucy laugh. "Thank you, Penelope."
"For what?" The blonde woman's eyes widened.
"For being an amazing friend", Lucy replied and then it was her to hug Penelope.

Two days later, it was concert day. Lucy couldn't hide that she was excited for it and couldn't wait to leave the bookstore at four in the evening. When Phoebe came in at 3:45, Lucy already started to pack her stuff. "Thank you so much for covering until six", she said but Phoebe waved it away.
"No problem. I love it here", she simply said as she sat down on the chair, watching Lucy grabbing her coat and purse.
At home, she still got time to take a shower and to get ready for tonight. Spencer called her at some point. "Hey, Spence", she said with a smile.
"Hey, babe. What are you doing?" It was one of those rare days where Spencer was in his own apartment although the team didn't have a case. But Lucy and Spencer had decided to not always sit together. They still needed some time and space for themselves every now and then.
"I'm getting ready for the concert. Penelope will pick me up in an hour", Lucy explained while she glanced at her bed, where she had put three different outfits. She still wasn't sure which one to wear.
"I hope you'll have a lot of fun", she could hear Spencer say and smiled again.
"Thank you, babe. See you tomorrow?"
"Sure. I'll come over with breakfast, alright?" Lucy told him she'd loved that and then hung up. Now she needed to hurry to get ready on time.
And Penelope was exactly on time. "I'm coming", Lucy shouted as she ran through the corridor to open the door. A beaming blonde woman was standing there; her eyes were framed with dark eyeliner, which made Penelope's eyes shine brightly. She was wearing pink lipstick and a dress that looked a lot like punk rock. Lucy thought, Penelope looked awesome. Well, she always did so. Lucy looked down at her own outfit. She was wearing black pants, high-heeled boots and a red top. "Is this okay?", she asked, looking a bit insecure. It had been an eternity since she'd gone to a concert.
But Penelope nodded. "Of course! You look awesome! And dear, I love your makeup!"
"I love yours too", Lucy laughed as she turned around to grab her bag and coat and then locked the door. "Let's go!", she exclaimed and linked arms with her friend. Penelope giggled. The two women crawled into the cab that was waiting outside Lucy's apartment. Penelope explained that she wanted to drink and she'd intended to make Lucy drink too and none of them would be able to drive back home. So, the cab was the only possibility since they both weren't fans of public transports.
