"Uhm...I guess it's my turn now", Spencer said. He and Lucy were sitting in one of the most romantic restaurants in the city and she had been in absolute awe as soon as they'd stepped in. There were candles everywhere and dammed light and everything just looked beautiful. Now they were seated at one of the tables and had just ordered their food. It had been quite a challenge to leave the rest of the team and go home to get ready for that dinner. But Spencer had said that she should put on a dress and so she had done, although she hadn't known where he would take her out to. Oh, and how good Spencer was looking tonight! He was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and dark pants and Lucy had trouble to resist the urge to look at him all the time.
Spencer gave Lucy a small, square present now. First, she just looked at it before she started to slowly unwrap it. Lucy swallowed when she realized that she was holding a jewelry case in her hands. With her heart pounding fast against her chest, she opened it. And her jaw dropped. "Oh, Spencer." Lucy's voice wasn't more than a whisper. What she saw, took her breath away. Carefully, Lucy carefully took out the silver necklace with the beautiful pendant in shape of Tinkerbell, Peter Pan's little fairy. "Spencer...I...I don't know...what to say", Lucy choke out when she held up the necklace and looked closer at the pendant. Holy shit, it was from Swarovski! This must have cost Spencer a lot. Lucy swallowed back tears. This was one of the most precious, wonderful present she'd ever gotten.
"I...I decided for this one because you're such a huge Disney fan and because...because you're my...Tinkerbell. Somehow. You bright up my life every day and with you I feel like I can fly", Spencer explained and Lucy could see how his cheeks turned a slight red. This was the cutest thing someone could ever say to her and without even thinking about it, Lucy got up from her chair and rushed over to Spencer, wrapping her arms around his neck and sitting down on his lap.
"This is the cutest thing ever, Spencer. This is just...wow", she said with tears in her eyes before she kissed him. They were interrupted when suddenly someone cleared his throat right next to them.
"Oh, uhm...sorry", Spencer murmured and let go of Lucy again. Their cheeks were getting red in slight embarrassment but they were both grinning widely.
"I'm sorry to interrupt", the waitress said with a little smirk as she placed Lucy's and Spencer's plates on the table. Lucy sat down on her own chair again. But before she could start to eat, Spencer had gotten up now and came over to her.
"You forgot to put this on", he softly said, took the necklace and put it around Lucy's neck. She smiled and slightly shivered when his fingers touched her skin.
"Thank you." For a moment, they ate without saying a word. Lucy couldn't concentrate on her food properly, though. She had to look at her necklace over and over again. It was just so incredibly beautiful that she couldn't take her eyes off it, although it was already hanging around her neck. "This is the best birthday ever", she eventually said, smiling at Spencer. His smile grew as wide as hers was.

After the romantic dinner, Lucy and Spencer made their way back home. She'd sleep at Spencer's apartment tonight, they'd decided. When they came home and Spencer turned on the light in the living room, Lucy spotted a huge bouquet of red roses on the table. "Are they...are they for me?", she quietly asked and when Spencer nodded, Lucy rushed over to have a closer look. The roses were smelling incredible. "Spencer, you're doing way too much", Lucy said as she felt him standing behind her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and placed his chin on her shoulder.
"No, I'm not doing too much. I'm doing what you deserve, babe", he murmured into her ear. Lucy nestled up against his chest.
"I don't know what I did to deserve you", she sighed, then she turned around and kissed him. Spencer's hands attached to her waist and he dragged her with him towards the bedroom.
"I love you so much", Spencer breathed while he spread kisses all over Lucy's body and listened to her little moans. She buried her fingers in his curly hair and didn't let go of him anymore until they lay next to each other, heavily breathing and staring at the ceiling. Lucy's hand searched for Spencer's and their fingers entangled almost immediately. She turned her head to look at Spencer.
"This is...definitely...the best birthday...ever", Lucy gasped and Spencer laughed, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her into his chest. Willingly, she threw an arm around his waist and snuggled closer.
"Really?", Spencer asked. Lucy nodded and looked up to him.
"Absolutely. All these presents, the little surprise party, the delicious dinner and your...wonderful present...", she murmured and touched the Tinkerbell pendant around her neck. She wouldn't take it off anymore. At least not for the next days. She just loved it way too much. Although...maybe before taking showers she might take it off.
"Then I'm glad. You deserve it all. And much more", Spencer murmured. His eyes were closed already and Lucy could tell that he was about to fall asleep any minute. But she was still wide awake. Snuggling up to his body, she just examined his face which looked even prettier when he was sleeping than in an awake state. A little sigh escaped her mouth as she gently let a hand run over Spencer's cheek. She was still wondering, how she deserved someone like him. He was always there for her, he made her laugh and feel like she was worth the world to someone.
"I love you", Lucy whispered before she kissed Spencer's cheek and then grabbed the duvet to pull it up a bit more. While she waited to finally find some sleep, she kept looking at her boyfriend, feeling thankful for what she had and where her life had led her. And Lucy wanted to just enjoy the time they had together.
